Hey bro, I had a mono tub fully colonnaded and I noticed a couple little spots of contamination so I took it outside by this little bush and I dumped it out and I put a little swimming pool over the top of it and wettede the ground down around it and put a little weight on top of it and came back like a week later and it was loaded with mushrooms I think the pool on top kept the humidity and it's starting to get cooler at nights but it was an unexpected surprise.❤, I also kept the hose misting on the ground lightly to keep the ground wet.

Got my 1st bag almost ready. It was moving slow. It needs to be said in Colorado because it's dry, mine worked best in a dark closet w warm room outside the door, it creates more moisture and the mycellium grew way faster. Good luck

Hey man, I've never grown before so take my words with a grain of salt. I was looking into those tubs that you use and I noticed a decent number of negative reviews mentioning that the fruiting lid doesn't actually seal to the bottom which essentially makes all the air exchange skip the air filters. Could be a reason why you keep getting contaminations with those tubs. I would recommend making your own monotub, or maybe sealing the edge with tape/some sort of homemade gasket just to make sure. Either way, keep up the great work!

It's been awhile since I grew any, but when you first opened your bins, they looked to have a bit too much moisture, that will cause contamination, even when it's ready to fruit, too much moisture can destroy your crop.

You said no one could answer this question but I think I came up with a theory. You asked how come you have to be so sterile when growing mushrooms in a controlled environment. Perhaps it’s because you are trying to eliminate any possible contamination and increase the likelihood of a harvest. Maybe in nature they are more resilient when they actually make it through the colonization phase?? I don’t know? Love your videos.

I now have a Martha Stewart greenhouse and I reptile cold air fogger, I have 7 different strains going in live cultures. They are in the fridge because they because fully colonnaded in like 2 weeks. Between spore prints,spore surenges and live cultures l have probably 15 strains. I took spore prints off the ones that popped up under the little pool, I put them in an envelope and wrote the date on it, got out my bag of spores and right on top was a camby envelope with the exact same date except It was 2015. 😂 Doin the exact same thing on the same day 9 years ago. Life is funny. I've graduated now to where I have a 23 quart pressure cooker, flo hood and pretty much a full lab worth of equipment. I have 2 giant black garbage bags full of horse shit. I'm done paying out the ass for rye berry bags and substitute. Now my overhead is very little, like just bags,micron pore patches and the occasional 25lb bag of organic rye berries, stuff like that. I just got "The Psilocybin mushroom Bible" second edition. A stepped it up. I enjoy your channel and what you do , and I appreciate guys like you that take the time to share the information they know and take us on that ride with you. True pioneer. Keep it up. I can't wait to see what you are doing in a couple of years.
