Loved the vid, thanks! I fly a Pelican 600 LSA and I agree these little planes are great fun and very economical to fly!

Thanks for watching! The SportCruiser is a fun airplane. I also have flown a Remos GX, which is equally as fun.

Ok I'm sold. Originally all I could think about was a two seater Mosquito Helicopter but since Roxboro has the Person County Airport and I live only minutes away would it ever be so cool to have one of these. I would love to have this plane sitting beside a Bristell for comparison. Guess I need to check out the specifications on weight limits fully loaded. LSA is my dream so hopefully I can eventually fulfill that dream one day very soon

Thanks for your comment! LSAs are definitely neat. I don't believe I mentioned it in this video, but this aircraft was operating on MO Gas (Premium), so you have the additional savings of not having to buy 100LL. Given all their advantages, LSAs do have some tradeoffs. Since you can only carry 1 passenger and only fly in VFR conditions, they make great little weekend, leisurely aircraft. But if you intend to do more serious flying, better to mount up and get a fully certified airplane.

@@Imachevroletdude for me I couldn't ask for anything more. It's perfect for what I would be looking for. Nice pretty day fly up to Charleston or Beckley West Virginia visit family and just kick back relax and enjoy the view. Only other thing I could think of that would compare is riding a motorcycle something about cruising slow and being able to take in Good Old Mother Nature.

@@Imachevroletdude So, are you instructing currently, and what is the going rate for a ppl?
@Imachevroletdude2 жыл бұрын
Not an instructor, but you can budget around $8,000-$10,000 for your PPL, depending on where you train.

There is a local flight school that teaches these massive patterns. If anyone looses an engine, they have no chance to make the runway with their Cessnas. It's nice to hear the CFI's comment. Ever try out an Allegro 2007 or newer model?
@Imachevroletdude9 жыл бұрын
Yes! Tight patterns are always a good thing. I've never flown and Allegro (or even heard of one) but I'll look into it!

Looks like an excellent aircraft! Can you log LSA hours towards licenses over there?
@Imachevroletdude10 жыл бұрын
Clarky Av, Yes you can. Pilots can either elect to get a Sport Pilot Certificate (which is what LSA centers around) or use an LSA for a Private Pilot Certificate.

well it semms great plane ! I just have a question , whats the limitation of flying for this plane? I mean what can I do with it in Air?
@Imachevroletdude7 жыл бұрын
For the purposes of General Aviation in the United States, aircraft classified as Light Sport (such as the Sport Cruiser) are limited to daytime VFR flights. This would make it a good training aircraft as well as a nice cross country machine as long as the weather is good. If you have a normal pilot's license as opposed to a sport license, then you can treat the airplane as a normal aircraft, (day/night flight) so long as the aircraft is appropriate equipped per FAR regulations. Essentially, this is a fun plane to learn to fly in and build time in as it's fast and economical.

I searched to much about the Max. altitude and if I can have some fun with it such as low speed rolling or loop maneuver ! do have like these information ? and thanx a lot for answering me

According to the Pilot's Operating Handbook for the SportCruiser found at (www.czechsportaircraft.com/wp-content/uploads/sb-sc-005_poh_r3.2_v8_performance_12.pdf), the SportCruiser has a service ceiling of 14,378 feet and is approved for the following maneuvers: Steep turns not exceeding 60 degrees of bank; Lazy Eights; Chandelles; Stalls (except whip stalls). Aerobatic maneuvers are prohibited.

Why not IMC conditions?
@Imachevroletdude5 жыл бұрын
Good question! LSA's are not certified by the FAA to fly in IMC conditions. Further, though sturdy, I don't believe they're built to withstand the turbulence that can be encountered while flying IMC, nor would I want to be in turbulent conditions in such a light framed aircraft. You certainly would be tossed about.
@DanFrederiksen5 жыл бұрын
@@Imachevroletdude Night fiki it is then :) but seriously, I googled a little and it sounds like it's ambiguous but if you get it registered as ELSA or experimental LSA and you have the instruments and rating, you are allowed. Some of them are made from carbon fiber and they are rather expensive so some should be plenty sturdy. Their relatively low speed must also mean that turbulence is also less than in a jet. Shame though to have red tape. I see no reasonable reason why a properly equipped LSA can't fly IFR with a certified pilot. Just require them to have the appropriate instruments. Indeed it seems far more reckless to me that airliners fly relatively blind with very poor sensor packages for their price class. they should have thermal, night vision and SAR. At least. We should also have automotive style forward short range radars for cheap planes. It's nice to be able to see a plane in a cloud at night as well as the ground.. Current IFR is pretentiously flying blind.
@Imachevroletdude5 жыл бұрын
Interesting points, but all I heard was the jingle of the change required for all the FAA certifications. Flying IFR really IS flying blind, which is why it is an additional rating! :)

@@DanFrederiksen Light sport planes can fly ifr if so equipped and the pilot is rated to do so. The plane itself is not prohibited.
