Never tired of watching these yachts. I was fortunate to make the right friends who had connections in Montauk NY. I’m talking late 90’s. Been a guest on many offshore excursions and in several shark tournaments. Both on a 61’ Buddy Davis with 12 cylinder turbo Detroit’s and also a 53’ Hatteras. Not sure which engines the Hatteras had, but definitely much slower than the Davis. Full time captain on the Davis. Owner/operated with the Hatteras. Best fish I landed start to finish was a 160lb Bigeye Tuna on a stand up thirty (short one eighty) right off the stern. Joke was they wouldn’t bite so close to those loud turbo Detroits. Good times and great memories.

Showing scenes from my hometown was very enjoyable, I left Point Pleasant in 1957 to join the US Navy and spent 10 years sailing to many ports. I now live in Texas and do miss my old hometown. Thanks again for showing the Manasquan river and bridge, it brings many fond thoughts.

great 4k photography. Loved the fast backing, skippers love to show off. Fun trying to figure out Vikings or Oceans. Lot of pretty Jersey girls.

Pretty sure I’ve never seen a boat that big, back up that fast, in limited space. But then I live far from big water. Those guys right in front of the camera seemed to be impressed as well. Skippers showing off indeed. 👊😎

This is so cool!! As a kid i would rid my bike thru town all the way to the inlet so i could watch the boats go in and out of the inlet. Most of the day i would sit there and remember the lines of the different boats and remember the make as they went by me!! Somethings never change i still love it!

Was the first boat a Cabo? Also, i went from a 17” key west 75ob, to a 24 albe single i/o, to a twin diesel 28 Carolina Classic. The Carolina is by far the easiest one to dock. No thrusters.

Beautifiul video. What is the make of that boat @ 5.10? I'm surprised at the speed they maintain going through that inlet, it would seem they should slow down? The speed @ 7.18 would seem the proper way to make that passage. Those boats leave a tremendous wake. Gardis in CT
