People are going to be prisoner of the moment and I accept that, but I really think you're going to have to judge Scoot Henderson's development on the same timeline as players like Derrick Rose and Russell Westbrook. Both Rose and Westbrook put up rookie numbers not too dis-similar from Scoot. The important thing for both Rose and Westbrook in their rookie seasons was you saw flashes and towards the end of the season, we started to see those flashes from Scoot. Both continued to develop steadily if not super efficiently in their 2nd seasons and became fully realized players by their 3rd seasons in the NBA. I still feel pretty confident that this will be the same type of progression path for Scoot. Unfortunately for Scoot, I think a bunch of people thought he was going to revolutionize the guard positions the same way Wemby would for the bigs, so when he couldn't hit those heights people were quick to label him as a potential bust.
@johndavids84885 ай бұрын
As a Blazers fan, I’m not at all worried about Scoot - he showed great flashes as a playmaker and slasher, and even as a shooter at times. @@ilrosso8612I mean it’s a pretty valid thing to cry about. If Dallas had won a couple more games last year then New York woulda had lively. Instead they got a late ass pick. Shit altered both teams

I guess 13 pick doesn’t exist in 2023 smh

Dallas’ tank job last season led directly to their finals appearance. Look at what was gained and what was lost. Lively, PJ and Gafford might not be on the team had we not lost the last two games. All three were instrumental in our playoff run. No team SHOULD BE FORCED to play their best players. Maybe from Now on just set the draft order at game 60 to avoid tanking. What’s the likelihood any of those teams will win their last 20 games lol? Or you can say who really cares about a San Antonio vs Chicago matchup late in the season? Regardless anything we can do to finally end the outrageous luck San Antonio has had in lotteries would be a good thing 😂……

Another guy in this draft that wasn’t talked about due to injury is darik whitehead with the nets rebuilding I wanna see what he can do this upcoming season hopefully he stays injury free and doesn’t get sent to the Long Island nets

There was a comment in a random video I watched about this class and about Wemby in particle that was absurd to me, dude said Wemby is a bust because he didn’t live up to his potential as a rookie since he wasn’t a top 10 player in the league as a rookie and he only averaged 21 pts and 10rbs and was dead serious too🤣🤣

Funny how just one year ago EVERYONE was shitting on Brandon Miller's selection over Scoot while he might end up being way better and already is. One of the rare cases of the Hornets orginization making the right decision at the draft
@himekomurata725 ай бұрын
I support both but I liked the Brandon Miller selection from Hornets. I was higher on Miller because he's a tall wing which always has a higher upside than a short athletic pg and fits better with Lamelo

@@himekomurata72i thought miller was the right pick but scoot would be better long term

Minutes will definitely be there for Cason on OKC next season. Especially with giddy gone. Caruso can play at the 2 or 3 and Cason is an off ball 1 or 2. Cason as a rookie was asked to guard Kyrie and Luka. You don’t reduce a players minutes after having him do that

completely disagree with the scoot take. he took a huge step up in the final months of the season, PLUS, with his potential and skillset, you just can't bench him. Same goes for the thompson twins.
