Loved this .Your guys finals words/ thoughts you both nailed it dont be afraid to evolve as your collection grows over time. Man when I think back over the last 35 years on how many different ways i have stored my cards it blew my mind and really took me back to all my old methods I have used. Another great episode that we all have to work through. I have a little of all of what you discussed. I have this large five row pelican that doesn’t fit anywhere but is great to hold my 250+ Kelloggs slabs. It’s big, gaudy, and a horrible yellow in color monster. Got get rid of it at some point. IDK! I need a mini beast for the 1300 slabs and a storage locker for the other 400,000 cards! 😂

Great discussion on this important aspect of the hobby. Storage is something I’m always trying to figure out, so I appreciate it when you cover topics like this. I’m curious what Bart does with his collection when it’s PCS time. I’d be nervous as heck moving a collection like that every two years!

Awesome episode, I take a card from a year or certain player and copy it and put in on the box with glue dots,so it can be removed,also can put the copy in a penny sleeve.

Went to the bank and opened a safety deposit box yesterday. Feels weird not having my cards in my home but they are protected . I’ve always had a nice safe but it bothered me it wasn’t bolted to the ground. I kept thinking about how end of the day someone could break in my house and carry off my safe . I have home insurance, but if something happened and the house burnt down, I don’t think I would be replacing high end sports cards

Yeah Mike, you know how they say that the camera adds 10 pounds to your body. You can say the same about a camera adds "space" to your card room. It looks like your room is spacious but in reality its not. Your card room will always look amazing to us sports card collectors.

One question about binders… penny sleeve first or just put cards directly in the page? To me, penny sleeve may give extra protection, but the cards don’t look as nice in the binder page.

If you care about condition and there is even the tiniest chance that at some point in the future you would send 1 of those cards off for grading... Always penny sleeve before placing in the binder. Personally, I'd argue that you should always penny sleeve, even if you knew you would never grade anything. Condition is everything.
