With these 2000 finest refractors, would’ve been nice to see grader notes as to why there is such variance between cards. Hi Steve, love the channel, buddy! The reason you're getting bad grades on those slabs is because of the "fuzzies" on the edges. Easy fix is to put some painter's tape on the edges to pull them off. Some people may be put off by that, but to me this is as arbitrary as being knocked for it in the first place by the individual PSA grader versus another who understands that they all have "the fuzzies".

Hey Steve, I like the Favre Green Refractor more as the 2000 Finests look too perforated to me and seem a little hard to judge on conditon as far as edges are concerned. If you ever come across a Gold 2000 Finest Barry Sanders, I'd be interested.

You can see the fuzz on die cut edges even from far away. Just like ticket stub cards every little point has to be sharp to grade well.

True but but I evaluated all the cards the same way so to have such a huge range of grades is odd. If they were ballpark it would make more sense. The more expensive players got the best grades so I'm not complaining

For me PSA has been just absolutely horrible for me on non modern cards and for the life of me I can't tell why. I look at the cards really carefully before I send them in. I also don't expect those to gem, like I know they can be slightly off centered but I don't see any other flaws (surface issues, banged up corners/edges, etc..). Yet they get 5' or 6's for no reason. Of all the grading companies I have used I can I honestly say I dislike PSA the most, but I feel I have to use them for the most resale value. For my PC stuff I used SGC. While they aren't perfect, they are certainly not as bad as PSA. They tend to be more consistent, at least to what I think the grades should be. Don't get wrong I know some of what I send in won't be 10's, some even 9's, but some of the grades I get back from PSA, leave me scratching my head. I have a 21 card order there now, and I have no idea what to expect.

Yes I think you’re right they are less available in NFL but heavy in NBA Prizm I believe.
