​​@@thorkagemob1297The thing I really enjoy about Kuroko is that in those intense moments in a real match (I used to play basketball) - when you pull off a sick move, or make a crazy play, you feel like an anime character lol the exaggeration accurately depicts the rush and hype you can feel. Even 'The Zone' is accurate in feeling to being in flow state. Which I haven't experienced in a sport but I do on Overwatch all the time, and the feeling of immediate reaction and being so focused on the goal in front of you and nothing else matters. The door even Aomine said was his own sort of visualization for it, the sinking in water is more how it feels for me

Kuroko's Basketball was the anime that made me enjoy sports anime, I had watched stuff like Prince of Tennis and Slam Dunk before but Kuroko was the one that clicked for me, I love the growth of the characters and all the different teams, I think if you like Haikyuu you'll get a lot of the same enjoyment out of Kuroko.

Kurokos basketball is a great show if you just want something fun, hype and easy. Much like how you enjoyed fire force and Dr Stone, I think you'd enjoy kuroko in the same way. It's not smth you watch for realism, it's over the top and dramatic, but it's just a good time through and through (and has some genuinely PEAK moments down the line)

If hype, inspiration and adrenaline were all condensed into a single anime series it would be Hajime no Ippo. There's nothing like it man, I truly mean it. Every major fight in this feels like the entire MHA S2 tournament arc over and over again. And what makes it stand out even more is the freaking characters man. They're so good at building them up that you'll root for either side. The sound effects during fights are also some of the most impressive things I've ever heard in anime. That combined with how every hit is animated makes you REALLY feel that shit. It's insanely comedic at times too, like, seriously. This show is such a fun and exhilarating ride

I love Kuroko no basket, but when it comes to Basketball show, It's Slam Dunk. It did for Basketball, x100 what Haikyuu did for Volleyball. Shit aired 30 years ago, and a random train crossing in Japan is still a tourist destination to Chinese, Koreans, and Filipinos, just because it's in the opening song of the anime for like 5 seconds. Legit started a basketball craze in several countries.

In 2009 (senior in high school for me), I was watching Ippo. When my dad saw what I was watching he laid a newspaper in front of me with an add circled that showed a boxing gym had opened in town. He asked if I was interested and I thought for a moment and finally said I'd check it out. Since then, I've practiced boxing, MMA, BJJ, Karate, and Aikido, and I've loved every second. LOL If you watch that anime it will make you want to do some kind of Martial Art too.

A lot of sports anime offer excellent training advice, especially regarding the science behind movements. When I was a kid, I trained at a boxing gym for a few months (I was also dealing with bullying at the time here in Mexico where i live). There was an older Cuban coach who taught me all the basics. Over time, he made me the captain of the group of kids training there, so I started helping them with the basics as well. One day, the coach suddenly disappeared, and a new coach took his place. Unfortunately, the new coach was terrible. I used to stay after official training hours to practice on my own, but on his first day, he kicked me out of the gym for doing that. A few days later, I left the gym entirely. Years later, when I discovered Hajime no Ippo, it brought back memories of all that training. The techniques in the anime were surprisingly accurate.

Hajime no Ippo is a cult classic. I believe the manga started in 1990 and is still going today. Legendary anime.
