Wow! Ya gotta love KZbin, and people like MrBoost4bar who upload these old races. I just went back 25 years....watching this in 2019. I have loved this category since 1981, and i'm sure that Monza and the Alfetta were running back then! Had a great chuckle at the adverts, too, especially the Barry Sheene and Dick Johnson one.....LOL. And how about big Darryl's commentary......"what about the hoochie cooch and the mumbo this things got"" !! He had no idea about what he was talking about but he certainly had the passion. Great memories. Now I'm off to find more of this old stuff...................cheers

The Monterosso Escort and the Ricciardello Alfa are both K&A built cars and similar under the bodies. My regular visits to K&A I saw them being built And both those cars are still racing. From memory the Alfa is shorter in the wheelbase than the Escort. Joe Ricciardo [Daniels dad] back in the field in the old Ricciardello Alfa

A race that started damp and got progresivly damper. Real fun on slicks! Plenty of cars fell off, Attard 3 times! Pooley too much too soon! Bailey had traction control programmed into the management, but drove very well. His second less powerfull engine may have helped in the wet! I was in the thick of it in the top 10 with Thommo, Des Wall, Jolly and dodging Attard all 3 times. Eastlake and Hoffy commentating, occasionally they even got things right!

I think Jeff did about 5 trouble free laps in that whole decade.

Best street track of all time in my opinion, not the chopped up current one.

800 kilos?? My car at 930kilos was one of the lightest there. The XU1 Chev. And then the SSA wanted 1125 kilos rendering my car uncompetitive. I had no need for airjacks and 50 kilos of electronics!

Maybe 50 kilos of electronics might of made you a winner bud, instead of a coulda shoulda woulda
