Yes it does make a big difference. Don't over inflate the ball as it could burst. Inflate so you can still push the ball outer a little not so its tight. Hope that helps

im having a problem bcthe hole is pretty big and its too big for a needle so when i put a needle in its just loose and the air gets out when pumped. but when i tried pumping with a bigger pin it also didnt go. before trying to pump i had trouble with finding a hole. please help.

Sounds like the valve might be faulty or the inner valve has actually popped inside the ball. Contact your retailer and provide images or video so they can see the issue. Assuming it's a new ball that is.

That is called a valve, not sure if they are available separately but you might be able to get a bladder which it is attached to. Hope this helps

Inflating an American Football sounds simple but to protect the valve you should use a lubricant on the needle to ensure you don't damage the ball. Gylcerine or sewing machine oil (Olive Oil is good too but slightly thicker) are recommended DO NOT USE Saliva. Leave a comment and let me know what you use to lubricate the needle when you inflate your football.

Hi Darlene, I'm not sure you can get it out if it has fallen into the middle of the ball. If in the US you could contact Wilson direct to go to a match they attend as often have displays showing how balls are made and might be able to help good luck

I realize this is years after the fact. If your ball is rubber/fake leather skinned, you could use a razor blade to very carefully enlarge the hole where the valve sits, sacrificing some of the cover to get the valve back. Alternatively, you could undo the laces, remove the bladder, turn the ball inside out, reseat the valve, turn the ball rightside out again, relace it, and pump it up. (But you may find you need new laces)

I’ve tried over 2 hours with a pump that you put your feet on, and I used a pen tube as the needle. I taped it to the other part of the pen then put it into the pump hole. I’ve been pumping for 2 hours and it won’t fucking take air I can’t push any further the needle in. It won’t go. I’ve tried a nail and it goes further but the pen tube won’t. How is this so damn hard?

Hi Elizabeth Vlogs I'm sure you won't have a perfect seal when inflating so air will be escaping and not going into the ball. Be careful inserting anything other than a proper needle adaptor as you can rip the lining of the bladder or damage the valve

Hey man its me back again i have a question, if i use a lot of glicerine on the needle and the valve, can it damage the ball? Because i inflated an older ball that was having problems to hold on the air and after sometime its deflated. Do u think that if i use a lot of salive or glicerine it can damage the ball?

It shouldn't cause damage but does depend on the quantity used. You only need one or two drops in the mouth of the valve to be enough. If the ball deflates over a week it should recover, if it goes down overnight then you have an issue with the valve or bladder

I notice that here you are using a pressure gauge that looks different (with air release button on right) from the one in your video pumping up the Mitre soccer ball (with air release button on left). If I'm correct, can you please explain which you prefer using, and which brand is used in this American football video? Thanks.

Hi Bar Na Thanks for your comment. They are very similar. When I did the football video we were buying from Mitre. The latest pressure Gauge we use is from precision Training. We changed purely on cost to us but they do the same job. Good spot though, very observant. 👍👌

Hi Afiq Jaffarran If the valve has gone all the way inside then it is not retrievable. However if you can still see the adaptor then a pair of fine long tooth pliers might be able to get a grip on it and pull it out. Also if the adaptor is still in the valve then you can carefully push back up the valve from the opposite side of the ball. I hope this helps. 👍😀 Good luck

I dont have glicerine in my house and i spit to inflate my balss but its really hard to get the needle in specially because its an older ball. Should i use glicerine, it goes inside the ball faster? Because with my spit is really slow and hard and scares me a lot to damage the ball or something like that since i already had a problem with one of my balls... should i use glicerine? Its gonna be faster or its slow because of my ball? Im scare to damage another ball help me 😨😰

Hi Rogerio Derting I always say use glycerine and add a small drop to the valve opening then carefully insert the needle. You may need a thinner needle for the ball you are inflating so look for a 2mm one rather than 3mm. Saliva is not a lubricant on a rubber surface but glycerine is as it is oil based but doesn't damage the ball covering or the valve. Hope this helps. If you don't have glycerine use a small amount of sewing machine oil or an even smaller amount of olive oil.👍

Can you please make a video explaining why footballs or "soccer" balls (as Americans call it) have different range of air pressure despite being size 5,and what are it's impacts when you practice? My new football feels really light despite being the standard size(size 5) and it's pressure range is 7-9 psi whereas for an actual professional football it is 8-14.5 psi. I have searched the whole internet and could not get a single answer regarding that. Assuming that you have knowledge on sport balls,I would like to know it from you. Thank you.
