I still have them. That was a huge purchase for him, and we weren’t rich. But it was a smart purchase and a legacy gift. Some dads are better than others. Did that make me spoiled? Nope. It made me remember to always take care of my dad when he needed me.

I'm a fan of the content no doubt especially this weekend since I can't be there. I think it's good to see how you all think genuinely as the deals happen however the average collector like myself would never be able to close a deal like that because these dealers know who you are and what you mean for the hobby. I almost feel like these dealers know that your context is popular and might feel pressured to turn you away on a deal. These same dealers are not so motivated give the average collector a deal. Thank you for sharing your experience of the weekend. 👌🏼

Absolutely agree! These dealers know they have the spotlight on them and that the video will have multi thousands of views. Everyone who is talking trash about his Son's deal - is out of line. No matter what you say- he did right. How do I know? Because he made the deal. Besides the argument that we are talking about cardboard, the dealers are their to sell cards. Not to display them. You only sell at a price if you want to. Would he have sold them to me for that price ? Probably not. The kid helped him do stuff this weekend PLUS- The dealer probably got more hits, which equals future sales, from having his Knoxville card shop mentioned on one of the most popular KZbin baseball collector's channels. Don't think the dealer didn't factor that in. He got free advertising, cash , and I guarantee- if he makes a big buy from SCI - he can mention this deal as part of his negotiations- so simmer down on the clutching of the pearls. As far as all of the 'how does a kid have that much cash?'- probably from making deals like that. I'm a outside salesman, and the first rule of buying/selling is- don't be afraid to ask. Son, if you ever need a job in sales - message me. Lol. The dealer made it plain that he was open to negotiate. You guys kill me with the BS. 😂 way to go Kid

Not sure why there’s so much hate on the kid. Sure, his dad is financing his opportunity - but for a younger kid to voice his opinion on big deals, that’s an excellent start to a business career. Aggressive pricing 110% and he’s taking them at the knees but c’mon you gotta love the guts on a young kid like that. Imagine him being shy and letting his dad take the deals, he does the opposite and looks for opportunity. He’s gonna make mistakes at his age but I really don’t get the hate. If you were his age, you wouldn’t have half the thoughts he does. The confidence in the voice and insights he has (right or wrong) will take him a long way as he learns.

@@studiocollector1061 Wrong again don't forget in the very near future you won't be able to get Panini the national licensed cards at the National anymore this will drive people to buy one while they can as there will be no opportunity in the future to get a pack at the National go ask the owners of Star basketball cards from the 80's if their cards are worthless because it's not a real set 🤣

@@Lazy-kv4kb disagree again. Discontinuing license won’t make a difference in the lack of demands in these cards. They will always be the flip cards for people to get to the next real chase.

@@studiocollector1061 Buy them now for pennies and come back to this comment section in 10 years and thank me later I am biased cause I probably have the biggest collection of these in the world but mark my words these will be monsters in the future especially the vip gold pack ones between the two gold and silver there are some of the most stunning looking cards in previous years and as an fyi I sold a herbert rc at a show for $15,000 2 months ago

Great video Geoff! Very entertaining to see you guys negotiate. Great work! Also a lot of fun to see the Caitlyn Clark debate between you two.

A lot of negative comments and I understand some of them but at the end of the day Geoff is a wealthy businessman that loves his kids and has created a way to be closer to his kids and that’s special. A lot of these businesses men wish they could be there more for their kids
