Red Grange then Bronko Nagurski and finally one Walter Payton. Bears fans can dream of them playing together for the best backfield ever.

I love the story when Red Grange and George Halas met President Coolidge. When the Senator from Illinois came to introduce the 2 men to Coolidge he said Mr Grange and Mr Halas its very nice to meet you I've always liked animal acts Sorry I had to paraphrase

When novelist Dan Jenkins wrote in the voice of his protagonist, Billy Clyde Puckett, he said, "If I get the ball I have a serious tendency to turn into some kind of Red fuckin' Grange." That's how good he was.
