I know Im not wrong in saying this ,but I think Peyton Manning, should be a Head Coach in the NFL, he has the smarts, the personality, he is a natural leader type, not only a Football Field General, but hopefully a Sideline General, so Mr QB Manning , hopefully in 5 or 10 years, I can be calling you, Head Coach Manning.

Jordan led his team to 6 titles. Without Jordan the Bulls probably wouldn't have one. There is no basketball player in history that could present a strong argument that he was as good as Jordan. As far as QBs? Montana and Brady are the most Jordanesque QBs to ever play the game, but Manning is the complete antithesis of Jordan in clutch situations. Manning & Jordan are names that simply do not go together.

Not hating, just speaking truth. They can come up with 10,000 more meaningless awards for players ,and it won't matter. There simply is no substitute for championships, and he has certainly fallen short in that area.
@NoApologies100011 жыл бұрын
Good God, TEAMS WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS!! If that's the case then Bill Russell was better than MJ and Eli is better than Peyton, which is obviously not true. It's a team sport. Peyton has never had a great defense. In 06 when they had Freeney, Mathis, Bob Sanders and Bethea they were decent. Not his fault that his defense let Flacco throw to long bombs over them. He set them up to win. If the Broncos lose tomorrow it'll be all because "Peyton can't play well in the post season." But if they win it'll be because "Denver's offense and receivers are so good." He never gets the props he deserves. He's GOAT

I'm sue that both Fox and CBS will have checkbooks wide, wide open the day Peyton decides to hang 'em up. You'll be hearing him on Sunday afternoons, unless NBC decides to dump Cris Collinsworth on Sunday nights and get in on the bidding.

I agree, but I think it will be a big loss to coaching if he does not decide, first, to be an offensive coordinator, and then a head coach. He has gifts in the leadership and mentoring areas, and he is a football genius.

Mary Cage he would be better as a quarterbacks coach then a OC or HC

He is without a doubt a class act, anyone that says otherwise is clearly just not all that bright. I'm sure Dan Marino would love to hear how unless you have SB ring you are not good enough!!! Ring or no ring he is the best and will always be regardless of your opinion. If you need help just look up his stats, all of which are based on his performance and not the team!!!

Peyton will most likely go down as the greatest regular season QB of all time. However, there is no strong case to tout him as the greatest QB of all time. Imagine a QB who puts up wicked stats in the preseason, but less than average stats in the reg season. Would you say he's the greatest of all time? Of course not. The preseason is prep for the reg season, and the reg season is nothing more than prep for the playoffs which are much tougher...and the playoffs reflect you you truly are as a player. Montana's SB stats boast a 127.8 rating, 11 TDs and 0 INTs. Brady has the highest winning % and best postseason record in QB history. Now those are impressive stats.
@tsmith7777211 жыл бұрын
***** LOL, keep telling yourself that. Try naming 3 household names on defense for the 81/82 49ers. How about the 83/84 49ers? Also, 127.8 SB rating, 11 TDs and 0 INTs has nothing to do with defense.
@thekiller67811 жыл бұрын
Tom Smith: Tom Brady in 7 AFC championship games: 7 Touchdowns 9 Interceptions. Brady has a lower rating than Manning in the postseason and has consistently thrown away playoff games for the last 8 years. Brady was a game manager carried to a superbowl in 2001 and was simply an above average QB in 2003/2004. to say he's better because of his "winning %" is asinine because football is the ultimate team sport. I guess Flacco and Eli Manning are better than Peyton because their "Win %" in the playoffs is better?
@thekiller67811 жыл бұрын
I believe Peyton will also be the first player to win a League MVP on two different teams
@tsmith7777211 жыл бұрын
Emma M On the flip side, if Peyton loses, the conversation will quickly shift from how great of a regular season he had, to his inability to maintain success in the playoffs...and he'll have less than a 500 playoff record again. This game is huge for him, either a legacy booster, or a legacy crusher. No doubt he has had perhaps the greatest year in QB history statistically, but he also has possibly the best receiving corps ever assembled on one field. Right now everyone is high on his accomplishments because they are fresh in everyone's mind, but no matter what happens in this game, 5 years from now when we look back, Montana's 4 SB rings, 11 TDs, 0 INT and a SB passer rating of 127.9 will still be the most stellar accomplishment in QB history.
@thekiller67811 жыл бұрын
Tom Smith Montana was on loaded teams. It's not like you replace him with Marino and the 49ers win 0 and Dolphins win 4. Football is the ultimate team sport, Peyton's legacy should not hang on whether or not the Broncos win this game. Also best receiving corp ever assembled? That's laughable at this point.. Other than Welker, the two QB's the receivers have had are Tebow and Manning. One end of the extreme to another. Lets see how these guys do with an average QB before anointing them the g.o.a.t. "QB record" Is probably the dumbest stat in sports out side of the W/L stats for pitchers in baseball.

Tom brady has had bill his whole career and a much better defense when he won his super bowls than peyton manning has ever had, even matt cassel won 11 games with bill and the pats. Peyton manning owns every record in the book including most post season appearences most consecutice post season appearences, most consecutive seasonsons passing for over 4, 000 yards, most td passes in a game, most td passes in a season, most passing uards in a season, etc., he commands the offense like no qb in history and now is making 3 super bowl appearences with 3 different head coaches and 2 different teams. He is soon to have his fifth league mvp and he has done this with 4 neck surgeries and missing an entire season. It is undeniable that Peyton Manning is the greatest qb of all time

Brady cheats a product of bellachick system. Montana had rice did nothing with Chiefs and had great defenses and amazing coach in Blair Walsh. Manning token 3 different head coaches to a Super Bowl and 5 Mvps records never once had a top 5 defense manning is the goat
