Roman obviously wasn’t a bigger champion than Hogan, but Roman is definitely a big star. People only started hating him because dirt sheets in 2015 kept saying that Vince wanted Roman to be a big star. Plus, at the 2015 Rumble, they wanted Bryan to win.

Roman is not in the same league as Hogan, Warrior, Macho Man, Rock and Stone Cold. You can tell wwe is pushing Roman to be a star, but he is missing that "it" factor. Damien Priest has a more "it" factor than Roman. They just need to book Damien correctly.

I’ve seen 2 aew matches and no wwe matches since around 2005. All I know about Ryback is that he said he’d quit if cm punk went to wwe, post food porn vids, and has said other thighs that turned out to be lies. And I know he’s doing that for attention - to the to build a following lol. That’s called… trolling. Otherwise, I couldn’t care less about him, or.. pretty much any current wrestler. Im sorry but Roman was hated and i believe the only reason he got over was the fact he came out and said he had leukemia. After that people felt sorry for him and cheer him. The bloodline story helped out some. The reason I say this is bc i suffer from leukemia and people that never liked me are now like oh hey buddy.

Hogan went Jan. ‘84 - Feb. ‘88, Hogan era was more iconic, going to Japan and all, Roman has no comparison to Ric Flair territorial travels and title defenses, overall Cena and Roman can’t compare to that because they came in an era where the business was no longer an alliance defending your title in different regions against talent you are not familiar with 💯

Don’t forget, Hogan worked over 400 days a year too. That makes his 4 year run really 8 years because he’s on Japanese time where they get an extra 6 hours a day.

Triple H is NOT a genius and NOT a good judge of talents. He didn’t use a freak of nature like Bobby Lashley but El Generico and Kevin Steen have a push and job for life. He doesn’t use half his roster right but he continues to push people like those two fruity male model guys on Smackdown, DIY, or Bronson Reed who will never amount to anything. Look at their women’s division, all look like dudes and there isn’t one hot woman on the roster. The Triple H era= a sausage fest which is just how The Gayme likes it.

But, those are Triple H guys and he got rid of Lashley just because he was a McMahon guy. That proves Triple H is no better than McMahon who released most of Triple H’s talents

Even Roman is nowhere near the status of previous greats. Cena, Hogan, Austin, Rock even Bret all did Hollywood movies or tv shows. No one in Hollywood is knocking on the wwe door for Roman. So his stock isn’t as big as one would think. The WWE just doesn’t want wrestlers using their platform to just leave for other entertainment platforms. So that’s why HHH said what he said it wasn’t that Ryback or others weren’t capable of headlining it’s just they won’t let them get so big that they become bigger than the business.

Man, no one should be bigger than the business, that's how you get divas like Hogan who will actively harm the business for his own profit and when he retires, leaves the business high and dry. Give space to everyone, then you can create plenty of stars who will make the business itself bigger. Roman is the best example, I don't recall many champions that helped to make as many stars as Roman.

Not putting people over, actively burying guys and even scabbing, I don't like to indulge in what ifs, but one of the mistakes Vince did was to think he only needed one star, he needs more than that if he wants to expand a business. Besides, are you saying he carried the industry during the attitude era? Thats's absurd.

Now, onto the other myths promulgated, Hogan pit over more guys than any other top guy not named Flair, didn't bury anyone and in fact used his abilities and star power to help The Giant, DDP, Goldberg, Bobby Heenan, Mean Gene, Randy Savage etc. Look I get it, this is the internet where marks run with whatever bullshit narratives Dave Meltzer has put out ovr the years and a lot of guys also run with it because they know it will get views. The facts, however, run contrary to that narrative.

Are you kidding, Dr. Chris? The reason they have had ratings in their toilet for this long and had such problem makng guys has been because they DID NOT play to the house and did not listen to the fans. They got one who got over organically like Danielson and Vince told him point blank after his Mania win that it did not matter, he wasn't in the plans. Austin got over cause back then Vince and wrestling as a whole were not at war with what the fans wanted. Sure Roman may be over now but did you forget about the times he stunk up the joints? Oh Roman is a popular babyface since his return they must have been right! lol How much freaking times they have invested in the guy for freaking nothing? And how much time has he left in wrestling? One or two years at most? But no wrestling fans must be wrong as usualy for Doc.
