I have been thinking about that. I am sure part is due to her specific person and personality, some of it is due to her being, although in a different sense, already in front of a crowd so often as a professional athlete - but I wonder if it also has to do with being of a generation that has grown up with social media, being on camera (your own cellphone or someone else's) and having developed an innate sense of ease about such things. I don't know. She is just exceptional in other ways, this could just be yet another one.

Serena literally retired after 4 games at the Roger's Cup because she knew she didn't have a chance ! At the US open she was ready for everybody's drop shots including Bianca's ! And she was ready ! And she had no excuses , but when interviewed she said that she didn't play her best . Someone should tell her that there was a $3.8 million dollar U.S. prize for trying harder ! She looked like she was ready. She looks like the female version of Mike Tyson and was faster to get the drop shot than anyone else . To try and take away anything from Bianca's win , not once ! But twice is pretty unsportsmanlike especially for someone who just started WTA tournaments. Shame on you Serena ! Congrats Bianca ! You showed the top 10 that there's a new force in town and she won't lay down !

Nobody has improved their game as fast and complete as you Bianca ! Every match showed improvements ! The big problem is ... you just went through most of the top 10 Nobody will want to play with you anymore and when they do they will say that they didn't give it their best or they'll call you a drama queen ( which is exactly what drama queens do when they lose ) ! Bianca , you have the strength ,the speed and the smarts and you have proven to everyone including yourself that you can re-ignite after fatigue and take back control of a match and even a Grand Slam of top 10 players ! Yeah - there is not much difference between many pro players on tour - just confidence and consistency. Bianca was at 151 one year ago. Genie made it to Wimbledon finals which is outstanding. You cannot do that because you are lucky. Just hope Tennis Canada and the WTA have learned how to support these kids to handle it.

I hope everyone here who is Canadian supports all Canadians. I've been reading such hypocritical comments comparing Eugenie and Bianca when a few years ago, Eugenie caught the attention of Canada and the world (with different results but still the same admiration). Bianca is relishing the fame like Eugenie. She's on social media like Eugenie. She loves fashion and is showing it off like Eugenie. She is confident like Eugenie was at that time. She's milking the marketing, sponsors, etc. like Eugenie did and still does, etc. I like them both and they both did for Canada - who knows what the future holds but one thing is for sure, no matter what Bianca does moving forward or any other Canadian tennis player (as long as they are not racists and biggots), I'll be supporting them. That's how to be a true fan of Canadian tennis.

turboplazz I can also point to you many pro athletes that never reached "their" potential because of either excess body fat or lack of fitness. If you think carrying around an extra 5-10% body fat is a good thing than it is you who is the idiot. I am sure if she starts off next season with a higher body fat percentage her coaches will congratulate her on a great off season regimen. Speed, mobility and stamina decrease and chances of injury increase the higher the bfi. And the opposite is true. Which is my point. She is young and a "normal" size and very fit. But as a pro tennis player she is not. I am aware of only one other female tennis player in the top 100 with a double chin and triceps that jiggle, and she is well over 30 years of age.
