It's good to see the Canes D finally solidify around Kotchy. The beginning of the year was rough especially with Andersen going down and Raanta not quite back up to speed from his injury last year. Svech finally starting to find his groove is also helping immensely along with our trade acquisitions actually contributing. Lemieux and Bunting are definitely helping get the offense going especially with the beaut of a pass to a smooth goal this game.

@@h_man2477exactly. and the sad truth is you cannot rely on freddie. rod said as much in an interview before freddie even had the blood clotting issue. he’s never really been there when we most needed him

@@h_man2477 he was recently cleared by doctors to resume playing, but yeah we'll see what comes of it. Raanta still isn't back up to form from his injury earlier in the season.

I like how the canes are playing more methodical instead of just flinging pukes at the net. And it’s also good to see that the D men arent be as aggressive in the offensive zone and giving up nearly as many odd man rushes.

Такое было в начале, но ты глянь его статистику в последних 9 играх, когда ему начали доверять 93 sv% в среднем 2 шайбы пропускает. В начале была плохая статистика, но ему не доверяли, сейчас она с каждой игрой лучше, а в последних 9 вообще топ стата

​@@ivansk3894он замыкал, не спорю, но это было в начале, сейчас ему доверяют и он набрал невероятную форму и имеет топ стату в последних 9 играх, со времени, когда начали доверять. Он не уже не замыкает, в последних 9 у него 93% sv, а за весь сезон перевалило за 90. Он замыкал, когда 85%sv было

I can only hope. I've been saying we need to utilize him more every since he came in during the playoffs 2 years ago. He wasn't even in top form then and he managed to keep us in through 14 games. We lost that year to the Rangers in 7 but this year could be different.

Kooch needs to get better with his glove. I've seen way too many times in the past few games where his positioning is great and he just can't squeeze it. I don't know if it's an equipment thing or a fundamentals thing, but whatever it is, it's just about the only weak point I can see in his game right now. He's been great in net recently.

Rangers looked completely out of form in this game. Slow, disorganized, couldn't string 3 passes together all game. I think they get anxious against the Canes, who took full advantage of every opportunity they got. The shot difference vs goal difference is absurd.
