@@Astianax27 yep it has been pattern for three years now. They are destined for a lottery pick this year no matter how good they play the second half. I think Senators fans have come to terms with this. I wrote off the season as soon as I knew DJ Smith was coming back coaching.. never had a chance

Christ sakes, that first goal against Ottawa should've never counted. On every replay with sound, the whistle blew before the puck went into the net. The reffing is so inconsistent, when you consider that the intent to blow the whistle ought to have factored into that decision to count it.

I don’t think that’s why it was called a goal. I’m pretty sure it was because the whistle did nothing to affect the goal as the puck was already going in.

Sens are gonna have to try and get 57+ points in the last 40 games, if they want to sneak into the Playoffs. That's almost 113 Point Pace. Even then 92pts is not a guarantee. I'd say Sens would have to get 60 points in 40 games to "secure" a playoff spot, which is 123 point pace. It's possible, but Sens would have to be the strongest team the rest of the stretch.

my personal goal is for them to play at a 100 point pace the second half of the season. 50 points in 41 games would be realistic if they stay healthy.

Senators are not the worst team in the east. Pinto back gave them a boost. Not the first time losing to Ottawa this yr either. They are much better than their record indicate.
