Well if you read the ruling the Yankees were found not have broken the rules using YES network feeds however used a dugout phone prior to 2017. The Yankees stopped whatever they were doing with the dugout phones at the time. So not even in the same stratosphere as what the Astros did. With the kind of players who are speaking up they have to take that title away.

You obviously haven't read everything. The Yankees ACCUSED Boston of the Apple Watches and Boston was fined. Boston in turn tried to accuse the Yankees and they WERE NOT CHEATING. The old pitching coach used to dugout phone to call an outside person and asked about balls/strikes, if the umpire was calling them correctly. You cannot use the dugout phone for that purpose so the Yankees got fined for that.

What you are missing is NOT what the players are going to do in retaliation, it is the language that is going to be coming from the crowds that make the broadcast unairable. It is easy for 'security' to deal with one idiot in the crowd, but imagine 30,000 people in unison screaming and taunting to the point of threats every Astros player every game. It won't be like a Ref You Suck chant in the background of the telecast, it will be to the point where parents won't bring their kids to game language. Guys will demand trades, no one will agree to be traded there etc etc. They either deal with this now or the crowds will destroy them live on TV - it will become like a game to see who can make an Astros player cry & fake injuries not to go on the field.

Major league baseball could not punish the entire league and the Astros would essentially be suspended for the season.
