Manfred is showing us how weak he is as a commish and how weak his office is. If somebody in the NFL told Roger Goodell that one team was using a comprehensive system to steal a QB's communication with his sideline, he would've opened an investigation. He would've brought guys in and threatened them until somebody cracked! You don't have to give the players immunity to find out the truth! That's lazy! Rugby League in Australia during the 2010 season when the Melbourne Storm were caught cheating the salary cap, they were stripped of their 2007 and 2009 premierships (Championships) and their 2006, 2007 and 2008 minor premierships (award for being the no.1 seed at regular season's end). Stripped of all the points they had won so far in that 2010 season and banned from winning anymore points for the remainder of said season. Add fines on top of all that, and that is how you punish cheating.

I remember when I was apathetic about Rob Manfred. Guy needs to take action or get the hell out of the commissioner's chair. I'm also interested to see how the MLBPA moves forward with Houston players on one side, and the rest of the league on the other. Maybe not every player wants action taken against the Astros, but I got to assume most do. If I was a pitcher or on any team AL, I'd want action against them. Hell, if I've played them in the past 3 years I'd want something.

The Astros are officially the new super villains for this upcoming MLB season! It will be interesting to see how this progresses during the regular season. Anytime they have a road game, they will be booed, called cheaters, the respect from the rest of the league and the animosity that will be thrown towards them will be absolutely toxic.

Supposedly Altuve only used the trash can a little bit but he's not innocent since he was driving in runs from fellow cheaters he was apart of it. So his RBI aren't legit. His MVP isn't legit in my opinion.

They wanted to protect the cheaters more than protecting the game. That's backwards. People are asking for them to correct it since the game can't move forward till it's fixed. Turning a deaf ear to it is not a solution.

A friend's son asked me if pitchers would be punished under the Commissioner's no intentional hitting of Asstro batters if the pitchers let the batters know the next pitch will hit them. I told him probably yes but why is he asking. He said that since the Asstros prefer to know what pitch is coming, it shouldn't be a violation of the Commissioner's new no hit rule. That kid is hilarious but wise. Lol

Pete Rose got banned for life and no hall of fame. MLB needs to say anyone involved in cheating gets the same punishment. They need to make it clear what will happen to players who cheat. Right now the message is you can cheat and nothing will happen.
