Myself being an RRT, and seeing Matthews go help and see kids with CF really makes my heart feel so complete. Many people don't know how tough that lung disease is on the patients and families. Matthews, me being a Sabres fan and seeing you do this. You deserve a cup! I really hope you get one despite being a maple leaf! I have a close friend whose son has CF and plays hockey. He pushes himself and has worked so hard to become better than most of the kids his age. Unless we find a cure this disease eventually leads into an early death. It's one of the most scariest things to see a child's lungs fill up with so much mucous and eventually becomes so hard that they can no longer breathe and die. I really hope a day comes Matthews will get to meet my friend's son. Thanks again Austin for doing this for these kids! You gained a fan today and such respect from me! God be with you and please keep inspiring these kids to keep going!

But in all honesty, all his goals were just mediocre goals.. Like the 1st one was just him literally crashing the net & into the goalie, & it almost looked as though he tries kicking it in lol... The only goal I really thought was half decent was the "Shootout Winner", but seriously bruh, that is all.. None of it was highlight Reel stuff. And that's probably why it went under the Radar of so many other fans. I'm sorry, but just my opinion. 😞

Man I don't think he's gonna stay in Toronto after his contract is up. And as much as I want him to stay here, I don't think it will happen, his connection with the Coyotes is just too strong, and you can clearly see it in this Documentary 😔 and if he goes home I'll be happy for him, and thank him for the awesome memories while he was a Maple Leaf.
