I'm in my 50s and still love the All Star Game. It reminds if of the times I was still playing rec hockey and sometimes when you played in an open drop in session, you'd get to play and talk with players from opposing teams or from different league tiers. It was always a fun, change of pace from the constant need to win games to a chance to appreciate fellow hockey lovers that you don't normally get to play with. I feel the people that hate the All Star Game the most are hockey fans that never actually played the game. If the game doesn't count for points in the standings for their favourite team, then they don't understand the need of it.

Just wondering how you missed out on asking Bowness about his final press conference last year. It would have been a pretty good response. Good stance with Kuch, he is an amazing player and it shouldn't affect his Hart chances.

They should make the NHL All Star Game like Mario Kart Teams/Mario Party lol found it really sad that players I voted in only got to be there for 20min and then got eliminated. Saw the NFL Pro Bowl clips and kind of realized they went with the Mario Kart Teams style/Sports Day in elementary school which was really enjoyable since it really emphasized fun, football and the team dynamic, basically we need individual games and team minigames and then you end it all off with the team 3vs3 But overall this year was definitely better than last year🥶and in terms of awards they could give out different kinds like team with the most points, player with the most points, and other awards yearbook style maybe get the players to vote like most funny or MVP or fan favourite voted by the fans

Very cool conversation with Bowness and Tocchet, I mean Bowness was a big deal on 2011 in Van.

I think the kucherov antics were good for talking points the top 3 things I talked about at work on Monday morning was Buble on shrooms, Kucherov possibly drunk and mailing it in and Matthews winning MVP

In terms of the 4 team international tournament, why not let each of the 4 teams "draft" 2 "ineligble" players each to compete on their teams? Also, as it pertains to the Coyotes, Bettman just wants to retire in Arizona and he wants to be a hero in his retirement community.

On Kucherov: I honestly feel like he did the skills competition as if he didn't care because he really didn't. It's really dumb that the league forces teams to stop what they're doing in the middle of the season for pagentry events like this. The All-Star Game and its associated festivities should take place after the Cup finals. Sure, there's a ton of guys who want or need a break, but there's a ton more who are amped up for the playoff race. The Wings were hot in January, but how will this -- and the week off following the All-Star Game, affect us? On AZ: A real dumpster fire, for sure. Phoenix is a huge market, and the league will be back, but... yeah. This isn't great.for the league, particularly if the players are unhappy, which is why I think Bettman also had no problem with Walsh saying what he has in recent weeks. In some ways, I think those things really needed to be said. On Expansion: I really wish we had more insight into who all is involved in cities that are the farthest along, such as Salt Lake, and Atlanta. How close are we to seeing the application process open up? Who else is involved in the groups who are trying to get teams there? It's all extremely interesting from a business perspective, but also extremely obfuscated.

I love how Kucherov exposed the youtubers and audience who cant take a joke. he trolled a LOT more people than the "people" realized. Eck, Next Man U, Hockey Psychology, mainstream outlets, the hockey news, the athletic.. all of you wrote or recorded articles and didnt understand that you were being Trollled by Kucherov. Its so funny

I think the all-star game has become something that might resonate in the city it is held in and has little impact elsewhere. Mikko Rantanen is my choice as first team right wing for the Western Conference. He didn't make it to the all-star game. Connor McDavid won the skills competition. He got handed the $1 million cheque and I don't think he cared at all. He seemed disinterested at best. Who the hell is tate mcCrae? You can't tell a baby boomer that everything isn't intended for them. Yikes. Toronto People Think Kucherov's performance at the all-star game should impact his Hart trophy chances because they believe Matthews and his 12th place 59 points should be a favourite for the Hart. Kucherov and Mackinnon have 53 assists. Didn't matter to Beiber. Stood around looking bored.

I mean Kuch should still get nod for Heart for sure......however, the *professionalism* of that performance at the all star game this weekend was garbage, without a doubt worst one I've seen in 25 years. I mean your a Pro player being paid big money representing the NHL brand in front of there paying customers.

It's too bad what the CHL is doing. HC first declined the BCHLs requests to change eligibility rules and declined I'm sure because they were afraid the BCHL would take all the best talent. HCs development program is falling behind.

The All-Star jerseys were ugly and looked like a Doritos bag or Rock Star can. Why doesn't the NHL save time for the players and just have the Leafs and McDavid compete. Kucherov did what every player wanted to do. Matthews and his good friend Bieber made the All-Star weekend a joke. I wish the NHL would stop having them all together.

Disagree with “breaking the seal”. The NHL was born in Quebec. Indoor hockey in 1885! Selling rubber biscuits in the southern USA hasn’t happened

At the beginning of the season, the Oilers losing three early games to the Canucks sent them into a death spiral… ar the time neither team knew how good either team was… looking back now… maybe losing to the Canucks isn’t as big of a blow for the oilers…

I'm sorry but I don't agree with the take that this shouldn't hurt Kucherovs chance of winning the Hart. How a player conducts themselves absolutely should factor into whether or not you think they are THE most valuable player.
