I have a 2015 iron and I have an 02 code that popped up after swapping from stock exhaust to Bassani sweepers. Tried clearing the code but came back. P0134. Do you think bike needs to be tuned or 02 sensor replaced?
@vktechtv42447 ай бұрын
How's you get that clip off, that holds the wiring, you made it look v simple, and it should be, but I just can't get mine off, not without fear of damaging the break lines as the clip sits behind those and it's very tight. I need to get my O2 sensor off, was just going to cut it and buy a new one to get around the prob, until I saw the price of a replacement. Then though about cutting it and recabling in the plug, drastic for what should be a

I’ve got a 2020 iron 883, saw the p00013 code and knew it was the O2 sensor. Got a replacement and the code is still on. Do you recon I should get the ECM flashed?

What kind of problem cause the thank vent ?
@dirtyfloggins20274 жыл бұрын
It had dry rotted and cracked and i had a pretty strong smell of gas especially when its hot out. Otger than that their was no signs of a issue other than some gunk built up on the hose its self. Im pretty sure the line dry rotting so quick on my bike had to do with my bike living outside its whole life.

Hi, i would like to know what's tool's size we need for the o2 sensor? Thanks
@dirtyfloggins20274 жыл бұрын
Im pretty sure i used the 14mm cuz the 9/16 was to loose and i didnt wanna round the nut. On the V&H pipes the o2 is recessed in the pip around the top so it was a lil tricky at 1st to get the wrench on. Take ur time and and dont use a tool with to much play 👍

What year is this? My 2000 Sportster doesn't have this sensor. Even on the stock pipes in my garage there isn't a hole for it.
@johncolburn43532 жыл бұрын
That model year is carbureted. Carbureted vehicles dont come factory/standard with o2 sensors. You can “add” one to help dial in any air fuel ratio issues you may need to address. You can also check the spark plugs for how its running or change/adjust the jets or play around with the idle mixture screw. Tbh, its not terribly difficult. You can search for videos here on youtube. It wont turn you into an expert mechanic but there are some pretty informative videos on this platform that will aid you if you need it. A lot of talented and knowledgeable technicians and hobbyists have made some good content to view. Including @Dirtyfloggins

@@johncolburn4353 Thanks for the response. I don't need to adjust the jetting. I was looking to see how to replace the elbow on the vent hose cause I realized mine has been held together with electrical tape for the past 12 years. Bought a new elbow from the dealer. $10. I was just curious about the year since mine doesn't have the sensor.

I also have a 2015 48. Question: I just installed Iridium spark plugs (for drag racing) and superconductor spark plug wires. My O2 code popped up for both front and back. Do I need to retune? I have the same Van Hines installed; the same as yours.
@dirtyfloggins20274 жыл бұрын
Is the only thing you did befor the codes was change your spark plugs and wires?. What o2 codes are you getting? How is the bike running?. If your bike is "stage 1" like mine changing you plugs n wires its self shouldn't cause a code. I would start by double checking what you did. Pull the plugs and make sure ur gap is correct, make sure your cables are plugged into the plugs and coils the whole way to, i know it sounds silly but you never know. And lastly the superconductor plug wires are msd right? Not real firmlier with them but im pretty sure their 8mm cables if i recall correct, the taylors on my bike are 10mm and i didnt have a issuse. if they were cut to length cable make sure you have a good connection on the ends you attached. As far as plugs go i run the hd off the shelf standard plugs. Iv never used iridium in the bike but in cars iv had befor iv run ngk laser iridium plugs on stockish cars and never had a issue. Double check what i said. Reset the codes. And than see if it cones back. Thats what i would do. Im not a mototec and mabye someone more educated can chime in and tell ya whats wrong but it dosnt hurt to just double check you work

And if have the old plugs n wires stil swap back them back if you still get the code and see if it resolve the issue than you know if its the new parts or if something else is wrong! Good luck man hope if quick and easy to fix and if you think about it comment back here when you fix it and let me know what it was!

@@dirtyfloggins2027 My plug wires are factory MSD factory built. After more research last night, I think I may have gapped the spark plugs incorrectly. I am going to verify that today. I have verified its not electrical. Bike runs AMAZING!!! It is so much more responsive. Just have to get rid of this fake error code.
