As a Braves fan who wasn't even alive to remember their last NLCS run prior to 2020 and had experienced nothing but humiliating and soul-crushing playoff failures up until '21, the feeling's mutual. But I have evidence now, through the highlight reels, my own videos of physically attending Game 3 of the '21 World Series and watching the last outs of that NLCS and World Series, and the ridiculously expensive Tyler Matzek custom championship jersey I bought in the opening month of '22, that my boys won while I was there to watch it. Welcome to the club. Embrace it.

That 2023 Season was everything to me. I was too young when 2010 and 2011 happened so I never got to truly experience it, I went to the game in 2015 where they clinched the division and I stayed up on a school night watching that 7th inning. After that the team I loved faded further into obscurity. The turnaround the team had was incredible and that season was everything. A few things that weren't mentioned in the video that I feel are important to know about the 2023 Rangers. - They were the first team to even have a record over .500 with a save% under 50% This point made their postseason run with Leclerc and Sborz becoming elite relievers so much more impressive to watch - Their primary lineup throughout the season had an OPS+ over 100 The team did have both the 2nd and 3rd place MVP vote getters, but the lineup was so successful because every single person in that lineup was able to contribute and have incredible value. All in all the 2023 season was an absolutely insane string of events that led to the first championship for a franchise that had gone through so much. To some people it felt like a fluky season and that their slow start this year means they're unable to do it again, but the core of the team is not going anywhere. The entire young core of Heim, Garcia, Lowe, Jung, Carter, etc. aren't going to hit free agency until 2026 at the earliest. They've addressed some issues in the bullpen with Robertson and Yates and their lineup is starting to get it going again after a rough start to the year. It is incredibly possible that the Rangers would be able to go on a hot streak and make a run again this year. As last season showed, this team has shown that even through the lowest points, all it takes is one guy to reignite that elite offense and Corey Seager's hot streak throughout the month of May might be a sign that the team might start figuring it out again.

My dad was the absolute biggest Rangers fan I’ve ever met. He was my math teacher when I was growing up, and how hard/how intense class went that day was dictated by how the rangers did. This was during the 2010-2013 era for me. You can imagine how bipolar math class was LMAO. Unfortunately we lost him to cancer in 2015. Yet growing up i stayed true to my team, through all the tough times from 2016-2022. There I sit watching game 7 of the ALCS in my freshman college dorm room with my roommate, an Astros fan. I watch us advance to the World Series. Then the fateful pitch comes in and I am jumping and screaming. November 1st 2023 is a day I will never forget. After years of torment of our past we came through. we WENT AND TOOK IT. All this with Higher by Creed playing in all Ranger's fans headphones since the start of the postseason.

Thank you, thank you thank you as a Rangers fan. That was amazing movie. It is crazy that the Rangers are 52 years old at the time they won the World Series and I was 40 years old so there was 12 years I wasn’t a fan because I wasn’t born funny note it took 12 years exactly from the last World Series loss to when they won it. That is one of three crazy stories about me as a Texas Rangers fan. The 2nd I grow up always going to Rangers games with my dad and every time I feel like they always win when we go to the games or watch them. So in 2011 when I was living in Seattle they lost that World Series not only that that stretch of postseason I was also in Seattle every time they lost. But this time I was back in Texas. On Halloween for that game 4 I was watching the game with my dad and passing out candy. I knew I need to be at the watch party for game 5 with my Dad. So that game 5 will go down a special special moment, because I was with my dad when they won the World Series make me feel like I was a kid again, watching a Rangers game with my dad again. But this time watching them winning a championship. The 3rd and coolest they did it in 2023. 23 is special to me. It’s my lucky number. I was born on the 23rd. I went on my first date with my love of my life on the 23rd. I got married to her on 2023 on the 23rd and on that same year of 2023 the Texas Rangers won the World Series. So 23 will always forevermore be my favorite number. Crazy how things work out. Thanks again.

I just loved the way you narrates the story of a franchise from when they were at their lowest point and now they are at mount everest . You may add stars and build a juggernaut of a team , but what I have learned is that Playoff Baseball is all about moments and momentum which needs to start from the playoffs .

Phenomenal piece of storytelling here. I’m a lifelong Rangers fan, and I believe you did an excellent job of depicting the pain and frustration this franchise had to go through before finally achieving the ultimate goal in 2023. This took me back through all of those moments, all of those emotions attached to the October heartbreaks and heroics.

That Garcia leaping catch in the 9th inning of Game 1 alongside his walk off home run in the 11th and Cory Seager’s game tying homer in the 9th were all reverse fortunes in one game. In that Game 5, that strikeout sealed their one strike away that they finally achieved. Considering this was a team not expected to come anywhere close to winning a title, that was as Rangers style of winning a championship as one could get.
