Sounds like an amazing fishing trip! The combination of emotions, catching Spot Prawns, and enjoying a barbecue wrap on the boat makes for a perfect day out on the water.

Morning shot was the best. Love waking up to a flat calm sunny day.... I used to take my sailboat up to Sidney Spit. Saw the northern lights one time at anchor there.

Crazy, I always figure I'll have to go the west coast to avoid the light pollution to see the northern lights!

Beauty day out there, thanks for sharing! Appreciate you sharing some of the challenges to be overcome out there on a regular day instead of editing them out, good learning for all, and all worth it!

Yeah, sometimes regret putting down the camera but I had to think it out, call a friend with more experience and do it right!

I like the side gunnel railing mounts you put on there. Was that custom?

It that a hot sauce or whisky?

No it’s the East Coast spice that makes shrimp, crabs, crab dip, etc the most amazing thing to eat.

I’m no expert but that cod looked a lot like a rockfish? Nice video, can’t wait to get out for prawns later this year.
@fmb-fishingmeansbusiness9 ай бұрын
Yes, it's definitely a rockfish. Thanks for the correction.
@mikeandroi26989 ай бұрын
It is a rock fish but the local fisherman call them rock cod sometimes (they are NOT a cod at all and we realize that but is the name that is sometimes used)

maybe you had a nick in that rod for it to let go like that?
@fmb-fishingmeansbusiness9 ай бұрын
Yeah that could have been the cause. I think using braid as well, it doesn't have the give that regular line has?
