Great idea! ...and @ErinLawrenceTV if you'd like to do a LIVE test of the SOS feature, we'd be happy to arrange that with you (Overwatch x Rescue provides the emergency SOS search and rescue service behind the SOS button for SPOT). We could coordinate the test, share some real rescue stories, and give you a behind the scenes view into what happens at our Crisis Response Center once we receive an alert.

-35C? You must be in Al-burrrrrrr-ta! What a neat device that is, Erin. Even here in western New York, the cell coverage is spotty. If I want to use my phone here, I first have to climb on the roof and hope that enough leaves are off the trees. :)

I have a pair.... heres my review.... The screen is VERY dim and cant be altered....The Font is SUPER small...barely able to read it! My Android Phone is too NEW to use the App to bluetooth to it???? If your phone is new the App doesnt work? ... Its a Nice thing to have but seriously you need to make the screen brighter and need to make the font bigger AND FIX THE APP!

I wonder if they would supply one to a hunter to test it out in cold weather. I agree this was amazing, so thank you. I do have to agree that putting it on the inside of your jacket in cold or extremely cold weather would be a great idea.

do you use it? I"m going to be hiking utahs longest trail, the uinta highline trail and looking at this or the garmin to keep in contact with my wife. Dunno which would be better.

I am looking into this device with Bluetooth for texting if I am in a no cell service area. I have BlackBerry's and Unihertz Titans, so I like the keyboard. Is it a good decision? I live in Chilliwack. Cabelas in Canada has them on sale for $249.99.

I have one of these but my issue is battery charging. What USB charger output are you using?. Mine reaches 4 bars but left switched on, not used it drops a bar in a few hours. No way will it reach a week. Thanks for any assistance.

I know Zoleo allows people to have an account even if they don’t own a device which people with device can send a message to and have read receipts. Does spot have something similar? My eyes are on SPOT, but I want to make sure my choice is very informed
