Love the sunset. Sadly it either didn't quite make it to that gorgeous deep deep blue I love so much or the camera over-corrected for the evening colors. 32:06 - bird nest. Seems insanely appropriate that it is up in the wires, since wires are often "bird nests" after many years of additions and modifications. Hm, at the Zwolle was that maybe Stefan? The shot was rather fuzzy; but, it sort of looks like him. {^_-}

Interesting between Meppel and Zwolle the signals on both lines are showing green (both lines signaled bi-directional). Do you ever pass a slower train going the same way using the opposing line? I've seen that actually done on a Swiss video. Interessant tussen Meppel en Zwolle zijn de seinen op beide lijnen groen (beide lijnen zijn bidirectioneel aangegeven). Passeert u ooit een langzamere trein die dezelfde kant op gaat met de tegenoverliggende lijn? Ik heb dat echt gezien op een Zwitserse video.

It's automatic block, I think that means that the default state is free track (green), until a train is detected in the upcomming sections. This detection will switch the lights to yellow and red appropiately. This is even so when the other train runs in the oposite direction, but stopping distances must be such that both trains can stop safely.

@@m.moolhuysen5456 Over here locally they turn off the signals on track that is unoccupied for several blocks ahead. So that double green would alert one to watch for an overtaking situation. {^_^}

Heel af en toe gebeurd dit. Meestal alleen in uitzonderlijke situaties en op tijden dat er weinig treinen rijden zoals erg vroeg in de ochtend. Of laat in de nacht.

When thete is no train or no train planned then these auto block signals show green in both directions. Once a train is planned, all signals in the opposite direction turn red. They turn green again after the train has passed, unless another train has already been planned behind it.

deze rit was een stukje na Assen goed helder te bekijken via watsapp.had Bert aan de lijn die daar bekend is met de wegen,ik ook dus.als we met de motor naar Westerbork gingen hadden we de rontonde bij de overweg.
