Nice looking car. It's too bad it was a Japan only car. I read an article about it in Car and Driver, an American car magazine. They were impressed with its styling. They said that it was better looking than the Civic of the same vintage. They weren't too impressed with its gearbox.

Just the day before yesterday, I was driving on Interstate 10 in Texas from Houston back to San Antonio when i noticed/recognized something I'd seen in this video. It was one of these Hondas with flared fenders and it was a turbo. Past me so fast I could get my camera out. It still had Japanese license plates. I'm guessing it was just pick up from the Houston sea port !! W.

I think fitting a Honda CBR1KRR race motorbike engine in the nose will be better. I think a K20 will be way too big unless u wanna convert it to an MR (put it in the middle) just like a Renaultsport Clio V6.

Lovely,lovely super mini.. such a nice piece of kit. If they had this in the UK rather than the Austin Metro (such a dogs breakfast) we may have had some home grown industry left.In Italy the replacement for Mini was Innocenti Mini,which like the Metro&Mini still had a very tall nose/bonnet front, 'cos they were pissing about with the, ni on 50 year old A series engine,which as I understand it Japan had cut it's teeth on in the 30's, when building an Austin7.Look at the first Renault Twingo.

I remember this one...in the anime You're Under Arrest, a white one is driven as a police cruiser by officer and mechanic Miyuki Kobayakowa, and has a little Motocompo cycle to fit in the back, ridden by Natsumi Sugimoto. Of course, hers had the turbo and intercooler.and goes pretty fast with the five speed stick. Anime and manga got me into watching classic imports. Can't help it. Check out the anime if you can find it, Dan, it's great.

I drive a newer, less suped-up model with a 5 speed and ice-cold a/c around rural Japan. It's a blast in the corners, but I have to turn off the a/c to pass people. hahaha btw, I've seen a video of the Today badged as a Honda Humming in Ireland, I think. They may have been exported for a short time.

Those rims are very sought after old school Mugen racing rims. Although painted white looks abit odd, when they are plain polished, on a smart looking civic they look really cool. to see what i mean, google image search 'rocket bunny civic' I saw this Civic at the 2009 Tokyo AutoSalon.

i love that honda today from yesterday, those front headlight always interested me, did you noticed that some sports cars (this one, the suzuki cara, etc.) have tiny engines? ad they run fast as hell, detroit should thake lessons from japan, hahaha!
