I just bought a Florida gar I have him housed in a tic tac container converted to an aquarium. I do water changes every hour. It's doing awesome 👍

Ur setup is better than mine, I just leave him out of the aquarium, so I never have to do water changes at all. It does create a smell tho

I own a Florida Gar. Bought the little guy at around a foot long and already having a balanced diet of pellets and live food. An aquarium for a 3 to 4 foot long, carnivorous fish? That costs thousands to buy and maintain. I went to Walmart and got a massive pool from them for about $90 and set it up with all natural water, another gar, lots of crayfish and pleco, while keeping mine handfed. This video is AMAZING on info and sugar coating this fish was avoided. So, props on that!

Bro i have a spotted gar about 5 inch and its colours are changing to brown or bronze and its spots are fadding .....and the gar is not taking food properly... i feed chicken liver but the gar took only a chunk .....you know why its happening..?

Hey Chris I have a spotted gar or Florida gar I do believe I just got him not long ago I have him in a hundred 50 gallon right now you still a juvenile he's about to size of the ones that are on this video but I'm having problems with him wanting to eat which I understand gar skittish fish and all that stuff and I don't give him life Foods but he says acting really weird he's not acting like himself I really don't know what to do should I just wait and see what happens or what

I saw one at a fish store in Florida, just depending where you live. Not petco petsmart etc usually exotic fish stores the only or mostly sell fish
