Some incorrect information here and simply wanted to correct :) Calibre is pronounced ‘Kal-eb-burr’. Like the size of a bullet. Caliber/Calibre Second. Quartz only came to prominence in the late 60s and 70s starting with the Bulova accutron. The chronograph feature is much much older. Chronographs were automatic and quartz chronos came later.
