Have you ever given someone the INTJ death stare? 💀 If you enjoyed this video, consider subscribing for more. 😊

Not sure about *the* stare as I tend to not always pay much heed what my face is doing. However, the other morning on my way to work it was dark when I started walking from the trolley (alone), someone had started taking some sketchy movements towards me, so I intentionally shot them a real nasty warning glare. It was effective. They turned and went off in another direction.

profile pic = how I hope my face is looking. Can someone say something incredulous or improper? Trying to "channel" a death stare....
@dddtechie3 жыл бұрын
I didn't know there was an actual name for that. I've been calling it my "Don't be stupid" or "You should know better" stare.

I don't know if other INTJs are like me but I don't think I purposedly control my facial expressions to look more serious. It's rather that neutral expression is my default mode because expressing emotions on my face is tiring, so I have to make a concious effort to express or accentuate my facial expressions most of the time so that people understand them.
@syarilezzuddeen3 жыл бұрын
You don’t have too put so much effort. If you “go neutral”. The moment the person or you feel close enough... we are actually very animated. Its tough for people to be cloae enough. You should encourage them by smiling when they keep up with your thinkin5g first and feeling secondary. Also, gently remind them, you are a right person to come yo for help on a prolem. We are very unlikely to be up to somethng - how we feel, we reserve for the sick and old. We will walk away if you try to attack my frkends or mess witb the peace.

As an INTJ I call crap on the whole we have this certain look. It's more like if we are in a serious mood. If we are in a relaxing environment with people we know none of this applies.
@shadowguide1214 жыл бұрын
I have to agree with you. We're not all copies. Though there are generalizations that do trend in carrying over across specific groupings of people, everyone is also unique when taken as a whole. Also, I think he might have a cultural bias in his assumptions that he may not be aware of or simply failed to factor in. Especially in regards to his mention of hand gestures. Some things (like hand gestures) vary WIDELY across many disparate cultures.

As an INTJ-A, I agree with this
@jeanineels3 жыл бұрын
Not all INTJ look like Mark Zuckerberg at a senate hearing... but stereotypes exist for a reason. The assumption is neither true nor false. I feel it's conditional & depends on circumstances. I've been a victim of "what's wrong" or "are you mad" most of my life. 😅 How dare me not be ruled by my emotions!! People are bothered when they can't "read" us. Forcing emotions to make people more comfortable takes energy. I'm comfortable letting people assume whatever they want about me.
@tjo19943 жыл бұрын
I agree. I have often told people to stop trying to assume how I feel based of my body language because your assumptions would be wrong. If you want to know how I feel of what I'm thinking just ask and I will tell you. Also, if it's obvious that we are not paying attention to a conversation, we've mentally checked out and are thinking about something we find more interesting.
@Meenaia3 жыл бұрын
Idk about thinking "the look" is crap. As a non INTJ, I see y'all have a serious, contemplative and even guarded look in almost every situation. The look doesn't match the hilarious jokes and mood you give off, but it's there regardless

I really enjoyed this video. Yes, I would love to know more about INTJ body language and the death stare! I enjoyed your older videos on body language and expressions too. I especially enjoyed the INFP ones, because I am an INFP. But I'd like to know more about the body language of other MBTI types too.

By yours, and others' descriptions of INTJ, it seems often the INTJ is rather always at the ready to cut people down, to de-humanize their behavior or actions and discount their presence, ideas or POV if it doesn't align with their own. In other words, it seems the default for INTJ is to break people down, rather than build people up which could explain a bit of their reticence to laugh or just relax in lots of situations, and where others see them often as robot-like automatons in their private video game life of trying to level UP. How can anyone be friendly to this type of person and come away feeling any type of GOOD from their interactions?

Wow ... that's so not right. We want to help because we do care quite a bit. The problem is that our help comes in the form of solutions to the problems we hear instead of just letting you cry on our shoulders, tell you it's OK and then carry on in your chaos. Don't bring us a problem without expecting us to really try to solve it for you. We do hear and sympathize, but a problem that makes you feel that bad demands a solution so we try to provide. The thing is that a lot of people, like you, see that attempt to help as "cutting people down".
