You can contact IRCC. If you Google, you can find out their contact information online. As far as the update on your file is concerned, it’s unfortunate that you’ve been waiting for so long. But I know of several people who are in a similar situation. That’s just the way it has been for a while. Still, look up their contact information on Google and call their office in Ontario and see if you get any luck. It will be a 1800 number. And if you have someone living in Canada it’s going to be easier for them to call

Thanks for the useful information. My husband is sponsoring me, so we created two separate accounts for each of us and completed, uploaded all the requirement documents according to the Document Checklist. After about 2 months my husband (a sponsor) got a message from IRCC that the application has been rejected due to missing some of the forms, documents and signatures by me (a principal applicant). But I do have all those forms signed and completed in my account. Now we are absolutely confused. Are we supposed to have one account? Thanks

the complete application with all the forms and documents has to be submitted through only one account(either sponsor's or principal applicant's). Basically, only one of you should create the account and do the complete submission through that.

Yes. Even I was confused about this. SPONSOR does not have to fill another copy for themselves(meaning you don't need a sponsor's 5562), but the principal applicant has to provide details about the spouse's travels(even if they are sponsor, PR or citizen). the difference is, as one of my subscribers explained to me recently, ABOUT and ON BEHALF. So, under “from”, you can list the date that your husband started his truck driving job, And under “to”, you can list current. Under “length”, daily and under “purpose”, work Destinations would obviously be US. And you can provide a letter of explanation with the details about his job if you feel this information is not enough.

Hmm. Sorry you are having to go through this. I am afraid I dont have expertise in this scenario. So, i dont want to recommend anything specific. That said, this definitely sounds tricky and I know that when you are being sponsored, you need to provide documents that show your current residential status, wherever you are living. Being "undocumented" sounds risky. How risky? i cant say. So, Please consult an immigration lawyer to get the most accurate advice.

as it says in the instructions on the guide 5289, fill out 1283 "only if you are sponsoring a dependent child who has their own dependent child. Hi Suyash. Nice initiative and great videos. I have some queries as following regarding spousal PR sponsorship, My wife is sponsor and I am Principal applicant in India : 1. If I(Principal applicant ) declare family members (father/mother/brother) in IMM-5406 then do I need to provide any of their supporting doc like passport / photos/PCC etc ? Also do I need to provide their travel details in form- 5562 ? 2. I understand that in IMM-0008, I dont need to declare father / brother / mother. This form is only for dependent children and spouse. Right ? 3. After my wife apply my PR application and suppose it takes around one year to get the PR, Is it true that my wife can't go outside Canada during that one year ? This is very tough...What if she wants to come to India for 1-2 month vacation when my PR sponsorship application is in process ? What is the logic behind this rule I dont understand ?

1. You don’t have to provide supporting documents like passport , photos or PCC for additional family members if they are not dependents who will accompany you to Canada down the line. For now just list them in the family information form. 2. 0008 is for the primary applicant and any dependents. It is supposed to be filled by the primary applicant, which in this case would be you 3. Now this is something even I am confused about, I’ve looked online but I have not found enough proof to support any particular stand. So I’m not gonna make any solid statement here. That said, all the information that I’ve read on forums and online groups leans towards short trips outside of Canada being OK. The idea is, you have to maintain residency in Canada when sponsoring your spouse. So I would say, if your wife were to come visit you for a short trip, say two or three weeks, she’s not really breaking her residency. But I would advise against longer trips as they may create issues down the line.

5562 is a principal applicant form, only PA needs to complete it. Sponsor does not need to fill it out. Since PA in this case is already in Canada, I guess you dont need to fill this out. Double check the country specific requirements for your case to be sure. I shared in the video, around 22 minute mark

Hey while I was reviewing my PR application I found one thing which make me little confused. I have filled my Mother’s full name in additional family form and when it comes to background declaration form they are asking for mothers given name and ‘’surname at birth’’ which is different. So what should I fill here .. the exact name which I filled in additional family members form or my mothers actual surname before her marriage??🤔🤔🤔

Hi Christy, I had a follow-up question please. So did you only mention the applicant's native name in the mentioned section or did you also mention it along with initial 'Given Name' and 'Family Name' sections? Thank you!

@@HitSubmitCanada Hi Suyash, the IMM 5669 has a dedicated section to add the applicant's name in the native language. However just before that, there's another section asking for 2 things: applicant's Given Name and Family Name. Should this have a native script as well?

If you are a permanent resident living in Canada, then you don’t have to wait for your spouse to land in Canada to start the sponsorship.

@@HitSubmitCanadaGreat thnx for your reply .But my spouse will be landing in September in Canada and I am in India , can my wife immediately start a sponsorship application for me Or does she have to wait to get a PR Card for the starting process.

she does not need to wait for PR card. she can start with COPR

Hmm. This is tricky. Unfortunately, I dont know what measures you can take now. Will research and try to find something. meantime, May be try submitting the webform on IRCC page and letting them know you missed the checklist.

Hi, Thanks for the informative video. can you please shed some light on obtaining PCC for my wife who is in Toronto with me on visitor visa.I have PR and want to apply her spousal PR. At BLS website they will ask for some ID/Address proof of my wife. How Can I get a id/address proof for my wife? The bank will not open an account for her because she is on tourist visa. Kindly Suggest. Thanks

if your wife is already in Canada, she does not need PCC from Canada. only from other countries outside of canada
