Sprayfoam Insulation Study - Part 2

This week we've visited and inspected a closed cell foam installation completed in 1994 by the previous homeowner to prolong the lifespan of a failing roof covering. This is another property which will be featuring in our study allowing a comparison between open cell and closed cell foam. Again, all the equipment supplied by our partners Tramex Meters has been installed. We're using Tramex's TREMS system for our environmental monitoring of the ambient conditions externally, internally and within the roof void. The TREMS system also allows us to measure and recorded the moisture content of the roof timbers during the study. All this information is stored on Tramex's cloud system so it can be viewed and monitored remotely in real time and then downloaded for analysis at the end of the study.
In total we have 8 loggers in each property all recording a data point every 30 minutes. In 24 hours and that's 768 data points per property per day, X 4 properties, that's 3072 and over six months that's a total of 552,960 data points! That's a hell of a lot of information for us to work with!
