Have you tried putting a little fulvic in with that N for better uptake. I'm gonna tell you what you're doing is crazy, crazy smart! Keep the diversity in your up in your co-plantings and the the soil micro biome will reward you. Heep up the good work Carp.

Good for you for not giving up, and good luck for this crop. Wondering if you ever tried some strong pure vinegar on the alfalfa just before corn emergence. It's definitely not going to kill the alfalfa, but it will destroy anything above ground and may slow it enough to give the corn the upper hand

Do you guys ever plant the diverse Mayan type Milpa mixes like from Green Cover Crop for your garden? Some idea roll down some rye and drill it in. Looks like fun.

We did the exact same thing. It looks ok not great, I think it will turn out ok. No sense in giving up if you're learning every year.

@@Adam-bw4lw Yes I saw that, but how dose spraying sugar water translate into a form of fertilizer the crop can use. On a side note, I though spraying nitrogen and using synthetic fertilizers was banned in Organic production? Or is there just a limit.

@@mattcraztex9940 sugar feeds the soil microbilogy wich transforms residue into usefull stuff,if you look at the first frame its plant based nitrogen extract 0:00

@@Adam-bw4lw Ah okay makes sense I was confused with the nitrogen part but since it's plant based it makes sense. It's amazing how far Organic farming has come. Shows that most modern chemical solutions are slowly being fazed out for more biological and natural solutions.
