Spraying IMOX on a Clover Food Plot | Before and After IT WORKED

Join us as we re-visit the clover food plot and mow and spray for weeds. We use both IMOX and Clethodim to clean up the plot nicely!

I used IMOX on a clover plot with a ton of PA smartweed. Killed it perfectly. Nicest clover plot I have.

So glad the chicory is still there as well as the clover. Bees love both of those. I think the farm needs some chicory too. 🐝

Thanks for sharing. It's nice being able to maintain the clover plots. I found that with Durana clover I have to do little to nothing with it. My crimson plots I had to mow, but they just kept coming back thicker and thicker. I've never sprayed, but at times really needed to. Again, thanks for sharing.

Why spray IMOX and clethodim? IMOX is suppose to kill grasses and broadleaf weeds.

The IMOX is very broad spectrum and knocks out most grasses but some are labeled as "suppressed" and not "controlled" so I bump it with Cleth to hopefully pick up a few more. It's cheap to add in. Great question

That sprayer might have a recirculating valve & that’ll mix the cocktail of herbicide for you.

How much water did you put in your tank for the .25 acre to mix everything in?

@Yellowlab247 thx. Just north of Lake Gaston in Va. Disked a plot (didn't have time to mow) and used lawn spreader to plant Sunflowers May 13. Have 2 inch or so popping up as of May 28. May need to spray with IMOX to keep weeks down.
