When in the military, we always said if you lock a Marine in a padded room with no exits and two bowling balls and come back in 10 minutes, he will have broken one and lost the other. So yeah, test things on the military. If it survives, it's damn near indestructible.

I was in a recruiting center yesterday and one of the recruiters told me he does his best to be honest with the recruits so they don’t get surprised they ended up being a cook on a ship when they are prone to getting sea sick. I smiled at him and said “Oh sure you are sir. Sure you are.”

No lie on the eat fast thing. I got out in '89, and people still freak out when they see how fast I eat. Can't help it, I was one of the tallest guys in Basic. One of the last into the Mess Hall, with Drills screaming, "If you ain't done with chow by the time I sit down, you ain't eatin', Private!" I saw one guy get his tray tossed during first week, and I learned, real quick, how to shovel the food into my face. Never enough to eat in Basic.

The homework reminds me of a time I did 6 months of 24-hour ops no weekends. Although I stuck my face into an MGS Canon, screamed turned around, and saw my entire chain of command just looking at me.

Just by looking at the pic and me being a retired CDAT....They just replaced the entire gun tube since the gun mantle is laying on the ground. At least its not turret services. I do hate the fact that the tank is deadlined until they fix that gun tube mind you its not only the gun tube but the breech itself that they have to align since the gun tube is tied to that breech. You might as well say its turret services without turret services being scheduled and the poor guys is saying "FML just shoot me"

@@CCM1199 during those 6 months, for 4 of them we were working from 09 to anywhere between 02 to 04. I think I was told that we will not be having the upcoming 4 day. I walked over to the MGS I was serviceing and screamed into the canon to kill me just blow my head away. That's when my chain behind me said we already brought 2 people to behavioral health do we need to escort you too. I looked at them and said no I'm just tired.

The see the world Navy meme got me remembering my brothers. One went in the Navy to see different countries, stayed mostly on the coast of California. The other went in the Marines to go fight somewhere, got shipped all over tbe globe. The Navy brother was pissed. 😂
