Thanks Micka for the content. Pretty cool set-up. I am going plumb crazy in the house for a week. Looks like our thaw begins tomorrow, even up to 60 in a few days, but rain. Maybe a small bungee for going down the road? 4 planer boards do take up space, and this stow gets them out of the "working area". Gonna have to go see him at CatCon and pick up a couple of those. Just a lock washer scares me, for peace of mind, I'd probably put some locktite of even clear fingernail polish on the threads. We got some rough roads over here by Watts Bar.

Yeah definitely go check him out. In my experience the lock washer is sufficient but you do whatever makes you comfortable. I agree a little lock tight can't hurt.

Great idea! Could always hook a bungee over the boards before hitting the road, nothin too tight just enough to keep them in place. 👍🏻

You can drive with them in the racks, that’s where they stay on mine. Don’t have the extra storage for 8 plainer boards so I leave them in storage racks. Just in case any one was wondering the storage racks are a permanent solution for the boards if you did choose to leave them in there after fishing. I’ve driven both highway and main roads they do just fine.

They are great well worth it on top of the bars is a great idea why did you go with the green clips i've ran them down the road no problems

I went with the green clips because that's what I've always ran. I just like being able to pop the board free when a fish hits. That way I'm just fighting the fish instead of the board.

Pull a little bungee strap across the top of them and should transport fine down the road on the trailer I would think.

I would put a strap on the top of the boards, then u can leave them there when u are driving

Anyone know if the large B-KAT boards fit in those?

No they won't fit in them racks. The foam they use is bigger around than what the opening is.

Those are New Slingz that John Bubba New makes. They are pretty awesome.
