Do you have any advice how to solve my problem? I am streaming from my truck using GoPro cam connected to laptop and I use XSplit Broadcaster to my YT channel. I have 4G hot spot from my visible phone to go online. The problem is that when I have drop in 4G coverage or poor signal, my viewers either see that little wheel turning on their screens or my streams turns off all together and I have to restart it manually. If I only could somehow "keep it alive" when my 4G signal drops, so I don't have to restarted, it would make me happy. Any suggestions?

I did not know this encoder - I have made my portable solution with raspberry PI4 and a USB capture card like elgato camlink and a usb powerbank. I dont have a gui as it just uses ffmpeg to use srt - it works for me with 1080p 25 frames. The rpi uses mobile phone wifi and I can use vnc to connect to the raspberry also. To bad the TBS 2603 encoder dont have wifi ;)

That's a cool solutionas well. It does come with a significantly lower image quality tho.

I just got mine yesterday and set it up. But after doing my first test stream, I am not sure how much data it used. I streamed for about 1h 30min and thought I used between 5-10gb data. That can't be right? I was streaming from a Sony A7iii at the same settings you were using, but with variable bitrate instead of CBR.

At 5000 kbps CBR, you can expect to use 2.25GB per hour.

Sorry but I bought this TBS because of your video. No matter what I try, I can't see any video in OBS. All SRT configurations are those from your videos. With the phone and Larix I have no problem streaming SRT like you explained. In the encoder setup I see the preview from the Sony camera at the HDMI input. But nothing arrives in the OBS and the encoder sends nothing. Software version is the same as yours. Can youhelp please ? Best regards

Does this encoder automatically reconnect when the connection to the internet is lost and then reconnected?

It streams all the time. It reconnects as soon as the network is good enough (or within 30 sec total) - works great with SRT).

So what does the 4G connection go through? There isn't a service provider or anything you have to pay for to get 4G while out in the world? Does the 4G go through your phone or does it go through the encoder because that has its own which sends it to the router? I am just confused on how the 4G aspect of being able to send the video from wherever you are to your pc. I am interested it doing something like this because I would like to stream myself on my fourwheeler, but there will be a lot of times where I don't have service so I would need something that can get a signal from a long ways away, so has a good reach. The main question is, does this use your phone for internet, or does it have its own sort of internet that it uses while you are out?
@sprEEEzy3 жыл бұрын
The router holds a sim card. You can even use the same one (same plan) you have in your phone, in order to get the 4g connection.
@YuppyGames3 жыл бұрын
@@sprEEEzy Ok so I can use the SIM card in my phone or I would have to get a double plan so I have one for my phone and one for the router correct?
