Hey, I am Matthew Matheny from the CSX Dothan Subdivision (Bowline)... I just had a quick video suggestion if you can catch them at the right time... Crystal River operations would definitely be a neat video. Or even more of Tampa Port Operations would be neat however I know it is difficult to do so and not trespass.

I'll look into it

Great coverage! Looks like I need to catch that line when I get that way for the FEC convention in Jacksonville in Sept.

Nice collection from the S line. The L 743 fascinates me. I’ve caught it several times in Waycross, Baldwin and Winston. It always has rock cars from Brownsand, GA to Winston (destined to Martin Marietta in Mulberry). But I’ve seen those trains picking up a cut of 100+ cars in Waycross then dropping them in Baldwin. Other times I’ve seen this train with only a crew swap in Waycross and then highballing it to Winston with rock hoppers only. The “L” symbol implies a local however this train is anything but. Steph’s soul food in Dade City has been patronized by that “other” railfan from Tampa as well. Lol. Good choice! Thanks again Christian.

Thanks Bill. That L743 and L729 duo is really weird to me. It's another train on the S line, but they are confusing

Awesome video Christian, was cool seeing some familiar trains like the 452 with the CM44 leader. I caught it up in folkston that same evening, and I caught that same power on that 743 on the northbound counterpart 729 in Folkston on the 30th with 131 also leading

L753 works JR about 1 or 2 times a week. They get their cars from a bunch of trains. L743 and B491 I've noticed drop off a lot of covered hoppers. 441 does every now and then. I've noticed that M452/453 drop off and pick up mostly rock hoppers and scrap gondolas
@multicolorfilms7 ай бұрын
Thanks Anthony. I'm surprised JR is switched by the day job, considering it's quite close to Ocala
@anthonyceleste66117 ай бұрын
@@multicolorfilms the reason why they do it during the day is the train traffic during the day is lighter than the night. Seeing as how singletary is a single track it gives L753 a lot more time to do the switching with less trains to worry about

9:56 the SAL Coleman - Arburndale was supposed to be placed back in iirc but NIMBYs shot it down
@multicolorfilms6 ай бұрын
I doubt that was ever a consideration, there’s no need for a secondary mainline for such a low used route, would be a waste of money and ultimately redundant.
@railfanlynx6 ай бұрын
@@multicolorfilms probably, this was back when the intermodel place at arburndale was being built, but that particular idea also occurred in NC in 1994 when they wanted to bring back a branch that SCL (SBD) removed.

Hey Christain, new person here, but i have warched tour channel fir a while now. Anyway, just thought I'd let you know that CSX 1875 (P&LE) Was spotted in Callahan, Florida a little over an hour ago on a Tampa-bound manifest. This train is heading to Yeoman yard, i think on the S-line. (Not entirely sure) Just thought i would help you out. See you next time!

I dont have any info on the YN2s but I saw 3-5+ YN2s (all different numbers) on the CSX Garrett Sub in Indiana in ONE day, so maybe i was lucky or the power supplied to trains on the Garrett had many YN2s to spare.
