Wait… was the nurse the kraken and Simon the whale??? So, if I’m interpreted this right, Simon and Marbles were childhood friends, but she went missing and he was tortured to insanity soon after. When Simon grew up, he made a deal with the kraken to travel back in time so he could see Marbles again, but in exchange, he had to help her lure in children. (In fact, the kid he gave his lollipop to was the first victim of this.) They disguised themselves as a psych ward doctor and nurse, and Simon had gone so insane that he gleefully tortured a kid sent in by abusive parents who happened to be his past self. While collecting children, Simon reunited with child Marbles, but at that point, he had fallen for the nurse, leading him to sacrifice Marbles to please her, thus being the cause of his own childhood friend’s disappearance. In the end, he had lost Marbles yet again, but he was happy regardless because he, “the whale” had fallen in love. As for Hawaii itself, it was basically a matrix, as in, the kids lived there while in comatose, and their bodies acted as some sort of power source to the kraken. I know there were some pieces I couldn’t figure out, but how close was I?

@guyinachairapplees7028 Am I really gonna write a wall of text about my interpretation? Yes, yes I am. As a young boy, Simon had a strange connection to a cosmic octopus demon of some sort. Because of that, he only had one friend: Marbles. However, one day, Marbles went missing, and everyone suspected Simon had something to do with it. He was sent to an institution that shocked him, strengthening his connection with the octopus. One day, when Simon was grown up, the octopus gave him a deal. He would be given the demon's powers as long as he carried out its bidding. The octopus had lost its lover, a whale demon, and was lonely. The only was to bring the whale demon back was to harness the energy of a certain amount of children (I don't remember how many he had in space), and fuse two androids together. Using his newfound powers, Simon traveled back in time to kidnap the children he needed. Marbles was one of these children, explaining her disappearance. He also needed to make sure younger him would have his connection with the octopus strong enough to make this deal, so he ended up being the doctor who administered the shocks on his younger self. Additionally, he created two androids, one modeled after a nurse at the institution, and another loosely modeled after an even younger version of himself. This explains the two's bond. Eventually, the process was carried out, and the octopus was reunited with the whale. This makes zero sense and is probably not canon but whatever

That makes a lot of sense of the ideas I had about it, because all I knew was there were people who were rainbow and needed for some sort of energy, the purple one had a connection to this white robot, Simon and Marbles were friends and then he did something to her, and then there was some weird time stuff going on. This clears up so much!!

OUGH THIS IS SO GOOD. I started with the previous video and when i realized it was part of a series, I went back and watched them all. I ADORE IT. And I think I understand most of what's going on, but since I skipped the Dream Sweet animatic the second time around, I might be missing some things. Also funny how watching this i went "hmm wonder if the characters have names". And then Simon and Bubbles' names appeared. I do wonder if the other kids have names too though. Hello!! This just popped up in my recommended and I am so glad! A couple months back I started working on a Spring and a Storm music video and released it last month and I didn’t even realize this existed. The craziest thing is after watching this I realized that we interpreted the lyrics so differently! I really love the series! I think I watched all 6 parts like 3 times already lol. This time I was pausing at the frame by frame parts to try to understand more of the lore. You seriously have me hooked, it’s sad that the series is already done. Have you explained the plot outside of the videos? I feel like I’m still missing something to piece it all together
