It seems like you guys were huffing and puffing a little bit more today, that looks like a lot of work, so you must enjoy it, people tell me doing firewood looks like a lot of work, it is but I enjoy doing it, that was one big beaver, just wondering how many weeks do you trap,
@outofthewoodyard2 жыл бұрын
We trapped for about 3 weeks or so.

Great videos guys. As you guys get older you should try out the hagz fiberglass pole drowner system. Super lightweight.

Your beaver 🦫 videos are great. I guess they are so interesting because I've never trapped before. I've only known one person who ever trapped beaver and never had a chance to go with him to check traps. His life basically came to a traject end when one of his fellow employees thought that playing chicken was fun on their way to work and hit him head on and now he is basically a vegetable in a wheelchair. So sad and we had just talked about him making me a beaver hat the year before his accident. You guys are no doubt are dedicated trappers who enjoy your time together. Another great trapping video and always think of my friend while watching them. Good times in da bush 👍

Good morning Chris & Ken. You guys wear me out all the walking & climbing banks!!! Lol Question- if a beaver is illegal what do you do with them. Just wondering. Watching your channel is as close to trapping I've been. Lol Until next time have a great day
@outofthewoodyard2 жыл бұрын
They are all legal, we just say that the very small ones should not get caught because they are not worth much, and the buyer does not really want them.
@johncollins5002 жыл бұрын
@@outofthewoodyard gotcha!! Thanks. I really thot there was some illegal ones. That's how much I know about beaver trapping!!!! Lol

Why do you have your triggers like you do? New trapper and curious. Do you do them different in a pond?
@outofthewoodyard Жыл бұрын
The trigger with their feet not the face.

I am not sure about women...but the pursuit of Beaver has definitely been the death of many a good men!🙏 Another good thing about your documentation of all the work in trapping, is when in contact with officials from a county/state. They can actually watch the process and see exactly all the work it takes. Hopefully it will help in creating better budgets and increase the bounty paid to those willing to put in the work! Dynamite and backhoes can only do so much.Thanks for the video...👍👍

Also...I meant to ask on skinning video the other day. How many bags of the hanging Castor will you all keep for next year's bait?

Which traps are the most likely for y’all to get hurt on? Looks like that pressure plate one is pretty dangerous if you do not know what you’re doing.
