Hey guys, back at you again with another compilation. We got some variety mixed up in here this time around.
So I was planning for a while to find #615 for nostalgia (used to service my neighborhood around 4+ years ago) but didn't know where to look. Luckily, another YTer contacted me and gave me an approximate location, in a Tuesday service area that I've been in many times (not filming). I got there around 7:20, and without 5 minutes, I found him collecting in a court. I was granted permission to film, and I followed him until he went to go dump.
The next day, CWS's audit teams swept through my neighborhood for contaminated carts (which is why you see some carts with tags) After filming #608, I got a car ride to where I had filmed #523 back in June 2018. I found him literally in the exact same spot where I found him the first time (on my old aunt's street), and was granted permission to film. I followed him until I stopped myself because I didn't want to gobble up all of my storage.
After that, I went to go where I had found #SJ703 back in February. I found him on the exact same street I found the truck two months earlier (albeit a different driver). Unfortunately, when I showed up, his truck had just broken down from an arm that wouldn't dump. He called for a mechanic before he began trying to troubleshoot the problem himself. We chatted a bit about the Heil RR and the other trucks, before he ultimately decided it would be taken back to the yard for a spare.
I did come back roughly an hour and a half later anticipating on him coming, but after 30 minutes, going to Starbucks & coming back, and waiting another 30 minutes, I decided to just go home since it was just way too hot.
When I got back to my neighborhood, I noticed that some carts were collected and some weren't (keep in mind this was almost 12PM) I decided to take one last look around, and I found George collecting on a nearby street in #SJ16. I followed him until the end of the street.
Ultimately, Spring Break this year as an absolute blast. Got to meet new/returning drivers, reconnect with an old one, and I got my week's worth of cardio in just two days lol. I'll definitely try to get more footage along the lines of this when summer rolls around.
I want to give a HUGE thanks to all of the drivers I encountered over the two days for chatting with me, giving me directions, gifting me things (heh), and allowing me to film.
As always, enjoy the video!
