Spring Break 2023 | Walking Miami Beach Ocean Drive Before Curfew

South Beach is a popular destination for many college students during Spring Break. The area is known for its beautiful sand, warm weather, vibrant nightlife, and a wide range of activities and events that cater to young adults.
During Spring Break, South Beach is usually very busy, with thousands of young people from all over the country flocking to the area to enjoy the sun, sand, and party atmosphere. The beach itself can get quite crowded, with people playing volleyball, tossing frisbees, and lounging on the sand.
In addition to the beach, South Beach also offers many other activities and attractions during Spring Break. There are plenty of bars, clubs, and restaurants that stay open late, providing a lively atmosphere for partygoers. Many of these establishments offer special events and promotions during Spring Break, such as live music performances, theme parties, and drink specials.
This video was recorded before the first day of a curfew implemented because of fatal shootings over the weekend.

Art Deco hotels are beautiful. I was there in the 1990s just when South Beach had become the new international hot spot. I stayed at The Colony, went to the News Cafe and the great pool outside the Clevelander Hotel. None of this generation of Spring breakers was born! It has been heartbreaking to see the terrible behavior on the news from so many. Do they come from cities where this type of behavior is a daily occurrence? I can't help but wonder what the dynamic is behind this type of crowd. We don't have raunchy rowdiness here in Clearwater Beach or St. Pete Beach. It is most definitely a different scene from years past. But this daytime crowd seems to be mostly strolling...for now. Great job of filming and thanks for the upload!

I cry every time I remember learning how black musicians/ entertainers were only allowed to to go do their gigs and had to leave soon after they were done. Blacks were not allowed to swim in the beaches. That was true discrimination. The people of then were not the same of those that come to destroy things today. The black heroes of yesterday would not approve of the villains of today. Hialeah has shown more progress… More truthful black history needs to be taught in the schools and jails. The people that lived through those times of slavery and such need to come back and scold this ungrateful generation and the negligent parents.
