lol I think the pigs is something unique to the Bahamas which is why we chose that one. It was fun to swim with them for a little bit

I was working during the middle of the game, so I was having to keep up with the score through passengers until the end of the second half lol. But I was glad they were able to pull it off!

Princess Cays is a private island for Carnival Cruise Line and its affiliates including Princess Cruises. However, there are other private islands for the other cruise lines throughout the Bahamas. Disney, MSC, and Royal Caribbean have private islands where you don’t need to tender since they have piers large enough for their ships to dock at which is a growing trend in the cruise industry.

Only a couple of the cruise lines private islands in the Bahamas have docks. I can only think of Ocean Cay (MSC) and Coco Cay (Royal Caribbean) that have docks. Norwegian is building a dock on Great Stirrup Cay. The rest are tender ports. Tenders are the smaller boats you took from ship to shore.

Interesting! I had no idea, so when I looked off our balcony and saw water I assumed the dock was on the other side. It wasn’t til we went to get on the smaller boat to take us to the island that I realized we were just anchored in the middle of the water.

Hannah, I hope you had a nice cruise. You might want to consider a newer and a larger ship for a better cruise experience even if it means driving further to your port of embarkation such as Port Canaveral, Port Everglades, or the Port of Miami. These ports are home to the larger ships and to a larger number of cruise lines. Aside from Carnival, you have MSC Cruises, NCL, Princess, and Royal Caribbean to name a few.

We had a great time! I tried to make the most of it and go to as many different events they had throughout the day. But there’s something for everyone and we all enjoyed our time at sea!
