SPRING CLEAN | Cleaning the stables one area at a time
Its that time of year again where the spring cleaning is starting, every inch of the stable yard is a mess from surviving this long and wet winter, once we have dealt with the horses the last thing on our minds is cleaning the stable yard but now the time has come to get it all sorted and clean ready for the horse show season to start
Here I share my journey from a complete novice horse rider to now competing at horse of the year (HOYS) shows whilst being a completely self-taught equestrian.
I have failed so many times over the years but always learnt something from it, I hope that my KZbin channel will be able to help teach you all the little bits that nobody seems to share and help progress you on your riding journey quicker than I did on mine.

I compete my 4 Welsh section D cobs regularly in both in hand and ridden showing, from local level shows, affiliated, WPCS, RIHS, to HOYS qualifiers,

Gambler - 9yr old Welsh section D - Black roan
Champ - 7yr old Welsh section D - Buckskin
Donut - 2yr old Welsh section D - Chestnut roan

I us my misshapened brushes for cleaning feed Bowles /buckets ,or scrubbing stable doors . SO good to see Lowe's helping OUT, I helped my friend do her tack trunk one time, AND it was remarkable what we found . TAKE care and all the best. X😊😊👍👍👍 hopefully we will SEE more of Lowe's as the season goes ON.

Oh yes thats a good idea, i have so many areas that need scrubbing so the brushes will be handy for that, Yes you will be seeing a lot more of him very soon as show season for him and Gambler starts this weekend Take care xx

My cupboard of doom is the garden shed but I try to keep up with the muddle. Storting out is a great way to do a stocktake and do cull of the unneeded gear. You are doing a great job 👍🇦🇺

I really need to sort out my storage spaces too. I normally do them in the Easter holidays but the weather was so poor i just didn’t feel inspired! Maybe I’ll make a start this weekend.

Haha yes I always feel more inclined to do anything when the sun is shinning ☀️ It just seems like a never ending list of jobs that need doing, so I’m making a point this year of getting them all done early so I can spend more time riding the horses this summer x

Thank you I certainly don’t feel like doing anything still with this weather as it is, but I’m determined to get a lot of the jobs done before summer does arrive so then I can spend more time riding the horses x

Loving your videos Karen! You've motivated me to start cleaning my tack room this weekend. We are into Autumn months here in NZ and kept putting spring clean off during spring and summer lol, so thanks for the motivation xx
