I’m new to your channel (as of today.) I feel like I can really relate. I have two young kids at home and I’ve also been a full-time caregiver to my mother who was on hospice care for the last several months of her life. Now that she’s gone, I’ve come back home to… well… a messy house. I don’t even know where to start. I started watching these videos for inspiration, but I what I found was a lot of people trying to organize and clean houses that already looked organized and clean. It made me feel even more down on myself! Your videos are what real life is! Thank you so much. Can’t wait to watch more.

Newbie here. It was in the 50s and windy today here in Maryland and I agree it's really easy to compare ourselves to other moms who have it all together but then some people tell me they wish they were more regimented like I am. I hate being late and prefer to keep my kids on schedule..like dinner no later than 6:30 every night. We all have our strengths and weaknesses but that's ok. Motherhood isn't about being perfect it's about raising children who are loved abmnd well rounded. I normally watch TV as I clean but that's turning out to be a distraction so smooth jazz it is.🥰🥰🥰🥰

We can only imagine what others must overcome to be where they are or arent😊 My daughter is grown and gone . I wish I had done a few things better but she is amazing so that’s what we strive for. Hi Michelle I’m from New York we had 14 degrees this morning. I’m very excited to get outside we do have a vegetable garden we plant tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans and peppers . I can’t wait for spring 😊 Thanks for the great video!

We live in the Sangre de Cristo mountains of CO and we have temps between -24F up to 30F right now along with cold breezes to winds off the peaks (March is when the winds blow hard here, and the saying for us is “as long as there is snow on the peaks, the wind will be cold and strong”). We love our vegetable garden! Now that we are empty nesters, we have downsized the garden and hopefully we will begin the process of making 3ft high raised boxes to help with the bending and kneeling from the ground level. Always check the growing instructions on your seed packets- some items need partial sun and some need climbing trellising like peas, beans, even cucumbers love to climb. As for tomatoes, we have found that if we start them around Christmas in big pots where we cull to one plant per pot and then transplant in late Spring/early Summer, long past the last frost, they take off well or buy established plants at a greenhouse and then transplant. Adulting is a no -stop activity and responsibilities- cleaning and maintaining your home, inside and out, is year round. Even as empty nesters, we do have 2 Labs and they keep us hopping and oooh the fur and dust all over the house! I generally play Classic Rock or Hard Rock when I clean and declutter, but when I am washing dishes or doing laundry I generally listen to a Podcast or a book on Audible. Always enjoy your content!

Hi Michelle, we’ve had a vegetable garden for 23 years, some years are very good, some not, we use mushroom soil, it’s excellent, we like to grow cucumbers, different varieties of tomatoes, bush beans, some herbs, green peppers. We use to do broccoli and cauliflower. Good luck with your garden.😊

I love the perspective you bring to having a lived-in, messy house. It makes me feel so much better about mine! We just started gardening last year. We had a raised bed with cucumbers, green onions, marigolds, and cilantro. We started really really late in the growing season though. This year we have 5 additional raised beds that we hope to grow even more vegetables, fruits, and flowers. We are in the panhandle of Texas, and we had snow and ice on the ground today. It's supposed to be crazy windy the next week or so. Maybe try less baking soda and more peroxide? Dawn powerwash is something I use to get a lot of stains out of things. I hope your sweet baby boy sleeps well soon! Love your content!

I agree with all of this too! We all are just trying our best. Some people are better at keeping a “perfect” home than others. And really…none of us are perfect! Hi Michelle, I love watching y’all working outside. The weather looks so gorgeous. It snowed here today. All week if it’s not raining it’s snowing. Yuk. I am so ready for some warm weather.I love feeding the birds. I have a four seasons room and I love sitting out there early in the morning with my coffee waiting the birds, bunnies, & squirrels . It’s a peaceful way to begin my day. ❤ We planted 400 flower bulbs this fall and I cannot wait to enjoy them this year. Your back yard look awesome. I love watching someone power wash. But when I’m cleaning, or just in the mood to listen to music, then I prefer old school R&B and 80’s rock music. Jon Bon Jovi and White Snake are a couple of my favorites.

I am asking my neighbor if he can come over and spray down the front porch (after I get the trash picked up). Someone spilled a glass of tea the other day and I am getting into my spring cleaning maniac mode right now. I am also getting to move back to East Texas mid-March, so I am going through stuff to donate to various charities. There is no such thing as a Super-Mom...believe me, I did that before I majorly crashed and it was discovered I am bipolar 1. I am more balanced now with a good cocktail and when I do get a hypomaniac mood, everything get cleaned. Right now, I am cleaning my bedroom, sorting some clothes, putting laundry up and when I need a break, I sit down and crochet a cap for the local state school. I usually listen to classic rock, if I can find it, 70s C&W (outlaw country!).

Hi Michelle, love your channel, very interesting and I love your motivations thoughts best! Yesterday we enjoyed 65 in the Philadelphia Suburbs and we are going to get a cold blast for a few days but I can't complain the winter has been mild for the most part. You had so much valuable information in terms of being a good Mom it isn't cookie cutter, we are all good at different things. Being there for your kids and keeping them healthy and safe is all it takes NOT how often you clean and keep things organized. Whatever works for each Mom is great!

You can try using makeup remover for your upholstery and then shout. Also, I see your floors are very scratched (probably because of the dog), have you thought about refinishing your floors? If it’s hardwood or even engineered hardwood it can be done. Just a thought. Love your content 😊💖
