I have some info from working at an appliance place off and on since 2003 that will help. *Range: if u use the self clean on the unit, wait until you can touch it with the back of your hand. It gets well over 700 degrees inside your oven during a self clean. You don't want to cause the glass to crack if u don't wait due to the temperature change. Oh and to get to the back corners of your oven take off the door. *Refrigerators: those papers you see is a wiring diagram/tech sheet for the appliance it is a good idea to make a copy of it in case it gets wet and then put it back just in case u loose the copy. Also for the filter, check ur user care guide for the correct filter part number. *Dryer: if u notice it takes longer to dry, clean out vent and take off the front panel to vacuum under the drum especially if u pull lint out from lint trap housing. That means it fell on the parts that controls heat and that is what can catch fire. *Washers: for front load washers wipe the rubber gasket down and keep the door open for 30 minutes after the wash is done for the day. The light doesn't take that much electricity and it helps air dry the washer to avoid mold build up. Top and front load washers can accumulate a lot of soap residue between the inner and outer drum which can stink up the washer and on some model start to eat away at some parts if there is any bleach or bleach additives in the soap. You can help prevent this by doing a hot water rinse cycle with no soap or clothes in it to dissolve that residue. *Dishwasher: Before running a cycle, turn on your sink faucet for a few minutes to bring hot water to that area. If you don't, you are washing with cold water and the soap doesn't wash the dishes very well. The heater in the dishwasher is to keep the water temp constant and to help dry the dishes not to heat up the water. That can burn up the heatinng element faster. I hope this help from an Appliance Insider.

I love sodium bicarbonate and vinegar. It leaves a fresh clean smell! Also, I'd like to share a tip regarding the coin catcher. Before I place my laundry in the washer, I check all the pockets and empty them of paper wrapers, coins, hair bands etc. though sometimes things do go by without being checked, It's best to catch things before they go in the washer.

I looked up a tutorial on how to open my dryer to clean out the lint trap from inside and was appalled at how much was in there. Also my dryer went from taking 2 hours per load to 45 minutes. It was SO full. And we clean the lint screen EVERY time but it was still that bad!! I recommend everyone (carefully) try it, watching a step by step video. I have the kind of dryer where the lint screen is on top but I'm sure one exists for a front side one too.

i just cleaned my oven out the other day. i used baking soda mixed with dawn dish soap and a little bit of vinegar, let it sit for an hour and then scrubbed it with a sponge & water. it worked wonders. all the greasy gunk is gone. i like using non chemical cleansers to clean my house. the house just feels cleaner and there's no harsh chemical odors or fumes. i still need to clean my refrigerator/freezer & i'm going to try cleaning my washer/dryer too. thanks for sharing these tips!

My bf and I like the pour bleach in every one of our soap dispensers on our washer and some in the drum to clean it. We push the self clean and let it go. I find that the smell never actually leave the drum though. I also wondered if vinegar and baking soda would do the trick instead? I just wonder if it does get the smell out?

I clean my oven door that way too but now I have streaks "inside" the glass door. I can't get to it! It's annoying. Any tips on how to get rid of it?
@Italics628 жыл бұрын
If you feel beneath the glass oven door (above the drawer) there should be openings there that you can't normally see and you can stick a duster or a long-handled cloth in between the glass to clean it. I only just discovered that a couple of years ago. Or unscrew the glass on the inside of the oven door and do it that way depending on how dirty it is.
@Clutterbug8 жыл бұрын

Hi!! First of all thank you so much for these videos, they really help me! :) I really need your help, can you tell me if the vinegar you use is the same you use in food, like salads? I'm asking because where I live (Portugal) I can't find vinegar like yours (yours looks like water) and the only ones we have here are yellow (apple or wine vinegar). Do you know if these will also work? Thank you soooo much!!! ❤️
