Good afternoon and welcome to our Spring live-chat, everyone!
We covered a lot of topics today - as promised, please find (below) the links Jo said she'd track down, including footage demonstrating just how feisty a young Red Tail raised by Bald eagles turned out to be!
For those of you who weren't able to join us on this session, we'll look forward to seeing you on our next live-chat. In the meantime, please leave your questions and comments, and Jo will get back to you as soon as possible with some input!

Your guide is Journeyman Falconer Joanne Bentley, a practitioner with over 15 years experience in the handling and schooling of birds-of-prey, and her support-team of assistants including Joseph Norris, Andrew & Megan Lemon, Chris Wright, and Bruce Lane.
With light-hearted humour and a gentle, informational approach, Jo will guide you in understanding the techniques of “winning” one’s Feathered-companion - first in earning their willingness to work with us, then - in our case - to work for the eye of the camera.
Jo's desire is to inspire established and new participants, wildlife enthusiasts, birders, and the wider public. This passionate Journeyman Falconer seeks to inform and introduce humanity to the intangible “living human-heritage” (UNESCO 2010) to which every one of us may lay claim through the Art of Falconry.
Thank you for watching!

Good evening folks; So I took the time to look up "false" aylmeri anklets, and yes - it turns out these are what I made at the LANTRA course in 2014 (so I _did_ know what they were after all...just not by the name "false" aylmeri). 😊 They're great - some Falconers feel they're better as a well behaved feathered-companion will, in most cases, allow you to take them on and off whilst they're standing on your glove (after a flying workout, or hunting excursion). I wish I could remember what my instructor called them during the course...??? Thanks again for raising this topic, Jo

Hello again everyone, I hope the weekend has been good to you thus-far. I've had a couple of requests to keep the "Team Feathers" logo-giveaway open for a wee bit longer, so if you haven't yet got a photo, drawing/painting/image of a feathered-one you've encountered in your travels in to us, you now have an extra day to do so. :0) Final cut off for entries will be midnight, June 7th, 2020 - I look forward to seeing them! Best, Jo

Sorry, this is a little late, but in a future video, could you do a demo on how you hold your birds and where you put the jesses, swivel, and leash between your fingers? Thanks.

Hey there Jason; Great to hear from you - we did a live-stream last week which went quite well, so if you haven't checked that out as yet I hope you will, (feedback and follow-up questions are always welcome). This week's episode will air on Tuesday in the late-morning again; we've had _epic_ rainfall in the Bridge Lake region over the last week which continues to scupper the game-plan I had in mind for this week's episode. Weather is supposed to be much-improved tomorrow, (only a 30% chance of rain, apparently), so I'll be able to capture the rest of the material I've been preparing, and put a great video up. :0) Thanks for checking in with us, and for your support. Best, Jo
