Videos like this one are the essence of this channel to me. It's all about problem solving, with ecology, cost and quality in mind, without ever forgetting the aesthetics, of course. Greenhouse is going to look fantastic with all the hardwood joinery exposed. I sincerely hope this channel makes it to a million subs in the near future, more people need to see this.

You did a great job making your tool die peg maker. You could make it so much easier by using a press machine to press the wood into your tool die, then you won't have to hammer, and hammer , and hammer. Great video. thanks for posting.

I think this is the best way to make those with the wood you are using. I think building a dowel jig for a tablesaw would be perhaps better for most people with typical board stock wood.

This whole series of greenhouse videos is wonderful. it's partly that you've been working with very nice wood and basic stone, and you're building something very solid, but it really does seem like a labour of love and I'm very intrigued about the stages yet to come. You can clamp your drill press base to the bench. And swing the drill press head unit to the side to gain depth. To the floor if need be. Just FYI. Keep up the good work.

Matthias Wandell has made a few dowel jig makers. Not sure if his would work with such big dowels because he uses a drill. Cool idea. Man.... If you are correct about the amount of hours per joint you need to construct the greenhouse, it's going to take you quite awhile to get it all done. Possibly the most over engineered wood framed greenhouse I'll ever see =).

I have not seen that stile of 'carving bench' before. I have seen the similar kind which pinches one end of the work piece and the other end is free in the air. it is cool to see the options that people came up with to do that work. :)

Well now that you have a peg machine, if you ever get the time you should look into making a rounder plane to make bevelling those pegs a bit more efficient. I think Harry Rodgers could help you out a bit with that.
