Spring fishing for ancient mirror CARP

This month's vlog looks at my late winter fishing on the stunning Acton Burnell complex in Shropshire, UK. I'm fortunate to catch a couple of ancient 30-pounders in mid-March, topped by an epic 39lb 8oz mirror when I'd contemplated going home! There's playing footage, daily technical talk, plus discussion on the long-term side effects of sleeping on traditional carp fishing bedchairs.

Another good video. Waking up on the bank, listening to the birds, whilst hopeful of a bite is what I’m missing most about fishing at the moment. My son and I slept in the bivvy in the back garden a few weeks back, lol.

Nice video simon beautiful fish as well. Thats some good info about the bed chair, i use the raised headed ones and i am a side sleeper and have been having pain after a session of any length as well as it being hard to get any sleep. I wouldn’t say any of that mate. The Sirens are mega alarms. Fox offered to send me some of their new ones so I changed them. That’s all.

@@SimonCrow TBF I wasn't talking about the alarms, they aren't bad in comparison to the old Sirens, but Sirens are no way as good as the RX+ (I thought Rob might have hooked you up directly), the Nash bedchairs on the other hand suck, I went to the carp show at Sandown (same one you teamed up with Hughes again) with a pocket full of cash, tested a Nash sleep system and went home with a pocket full of cash, beds are flat, bedchairs should be flat and also not weight 20kgs too!

Regarding bedchairs. Why can no company remove the foot end bar? At home i sleep on my stomach with feet slightly hanging over the bed (6.2) but when fishing I am forced to lay on my side or back. And tbh i really struggle to get a good nights sleep due to this. If i try lay on my stomach the foot end pole kicks my feet up at an awkward angle which is not comfortable and its impossible for me to sleep like that. Surly this would not be to hard to do. Some webbing attached to the frame and mattress which can be tensioned or loosened to allow the end of the bed to sag a little allowing the feet to act more natural when sleeping on stomach and curve round the mattress rather then being stopped by a pole.

There must be a lot of anglers out there like me who change there sleeping position which they use at home due to that bar without giving it a second thought. Understand it may effect the stability but 1 angler, 1 bed it should not be an issue. Any guests have to sit on a bucket lol

Why use a coated hook link material then strip all the coating of to produce a soft braided one?
