Spring Has Sprung, Bees Are Thriving!

Spring is here and there is so much to do on the homestead!
The last couple weeks we worked away at moving our greenhouse, getting our greenhouse planted and doing our first hive inspection on our honey bees
There is always so much to do and so little time!

I wonder what percentage of those frog eggs would have survived. The video at the end showing loads of tadpoles seems to indicate that many to most of those will not survive either.

We left a lot in the pond that were around the rock only removing the big cluster at the walk in areas and now that they are all tadpoles there is tons and tons of them will put a clip in next video. I am amazed at how many eggs frogs lay!

Looking good. That works have been an awful lot of frogs. but don't they eat a lot of pests? Or do they just become pests themselves? Your bees and hives looked full😊. I used to be very nervous around bees but since gardening I've noticed that they get used to you and sometimes just bounce off of me if we get in each other's way. Even the wasps don't really bother me.

Yea way too many frogs lol they do eat bugs so we did leave plenty but also felt like we needed to control it a little. We are amazed at how many there are even after we removed so many. Bees are doing great! They are a great addition to any homestead helping pollinate. A lot of people think that will bother you but we have never had any issues they keep to themself and help our crops! 😀

What variety of tomatoes do you plant, and peppers ?

We do a mix, we buy all our seeds from west coast seeds( they have the same growing climate as us so we have had really good luck with them ) We plant beef steak, Roma, mortgage, Bonnie and cherry for tomatoes Pepper we do jalapeño, California wonder, habanero, I usually try one new variety each year till I find what I like, there is so many options!
