I've never slayed Perch like I did today. I've never fished with someone who could read the water as well as @TaroMurata either. If you want to know how to find and catch massive Perch in Lake Simcoe, this video is for you. Taro showed me what he does, how he does it and was a gentleman to let me share it with you. Sit back and enjoy the fishing god that is Taro Murata.
The day started out with calm blue-bird skies and although we were catching good sized Perch, Taro told me they could get bigger. We moved around Lake Simcoe a bit and hit another spot on the lake that had them stacked. These Perch were sitting in darker stained water, right on a mud line. They were hunkered down and not moving so we could spot-lock and cast to them. When those Perch dried up, we moved back to where we started, slowly, catching Perch along the way. The Perch were found here and there but when we got on the last spot, it was lights out. This has to be the best day of Perch fishing I've ever been a part of.
Learning to fish, one cast in the trees at a time.
